This park is a must-see, especially if you have not done a safari before. We came across many animals, including a pride of lions that we were able to observe for a long time. The sunset tour gives you a spectacular view of the park as the sun sets. It was the highlight of our trip to Africa.

5 weeks in Swaziland on business and I cannot emphasise enough how nice the Swazi people are and how safe the country is compared with SA and Mozambique. Hlane is this distilled. Sitting by the waterhole with a sundowner watching hippo and rhino, then being serenaded through the night by lions. Sensational .

We did two safaris in the park which we really enjoyed. The game viewing was quite good on both. We didn't get to see heaps of different animals but we had great encounters in both cases. The park however seems to be quite small. The areas covered by the safari are not huge and if an animal is too far... More

Travelled to Hlane after spending our first night at Malalotjie reserve where the outdoor experience was great. Our group set up camp and spent a lot of time at the watering hole watching the birds and hippos. Two of our group was from Holland and one other friend did the sunset trip to view the cats. Thoroughly enjoyable stay with... More

As a game reserve Hlane is very sad. The poor elephants are cordoned into an area way too small and are destroying the habitat. The Lions are also in an enclosure and unless you pay for a guided drive you cant see them. On the upside, the camp is very well kept and the staff are amazing.

Wonderful time in Swaziland we loved it here the people are amazing and so friendly and happy. We stayed in the bush camp in a lovely 4 bed cottage with fans we felt like we were right in the bush away from it all. This camp is more rugged than the Kruger and less commercialised which we loved. We still... More

Whilst travelling with a small-ish group this was our final destination as we travelled across Swaziland and we stayed 3 nights in the charming round houses. I loved the fact that there was no electricity as it felt like we could truly get away from the stresses of modern living (be sure to charge up cameras before arriving!). The paraffin... More

Be warned - there is no electricity in the camp. In the evenings workers lit up lamps. This leaves an unpleasant odour. Bring your own light if you want to move around the camp at night. The showers in the accommodated rondawels is nothing more than a handheld apparatus in a bath. There is however a wonderful waterhole within 5... More

Very comfortable vehicle. Guide was great.....Maxwell. He was very soft spoken so a little hard to hear further back in our vehicle but soft voices necessary around animals. We saw everything I wanted to see except giraffes.....Maxwell was great at trying to find us animals to see....lions, elephants, zebras, wildebeests, rhinoceros, impalas, antelope, eagles, a giant lizard, etc.

I did a sunset and sunrise safaria, while staying in my tent in the herbivore pen overnight. We were also treated to a traditional siSwati dance, and dinner and breakfast. This game park is a tad smaller, which makes for seeing lots of wildlife in a short amount of time! Lions, elephants, springbok, crocodile, warthogs, wildebeest, giraffes, rhinoceros, we say...
