Visiting this mosque is interesting because of the area around it, the fish market and the local boats - the boatmen are friendly and kind. Our driver was really nice to take us down to the mosque but also to walk and interact with the people in the locality. If you need a driver/guide there, we really enjoyed our time in Dakar because of our driver - Mr. Ibrahim +221777207783 who took us to all the sites in the city without rushing us and understanding our likes and needs of travelling. Dakar is an amazing destination for people who like - the off the beaten track - places. Its one of the countries I really want to return to!

The mosque is in a peculiar position, close to the beaches and a little port.
I wasn't impressed, the shape is unusual, we couldn't visit inside, although we had to cover ourselves with their robes at the beginning of the courtyard

The Lébouh fisherman created this small village. When you go down the hill to the beach, you forget Dakar, the city, the hustle and bustle. You are in a friendly village. Around 15:00 the fishermen return and the women sell the fresh DELICIOUS fish. I swim here a few times a week. The water is clear, a few currents to beware of, and lots of fish swimming all around. If youlike snorkeling and you are a good swimmer, then you should try this spot. Surfers also love it here when there are waves.

Beautiful, right by the beach. There are Fisher folk who live and work there. Besides seeing the mosque you can also buy fish. My said it was over priced, so we didn't buy any. It was a bit difficult to get a taco back. Let me phrase that differently, we had to wait a little bit to get a taxi back, mainly because my friend didn't want to walk up to the main road. So we sat and waited for a taxi that was dropping off someone.

Beautiful spot to catch the sunset, and hear the call to prayer go off. We didn't go in (not sure if you can as a tourist), but walked around it, it's a beautiful building, and then you can walk past out to the beach which was lovely at sunset, lots of fishing boats lined, but and young guys exercising and playing soccer. Everyone seemed respectful of us three ladies. Beware there are a lot of steps to get down to the mosque (and hence back up), or you can take the sidewalk/road which is also a steep climb. I suppose you could take a taxi down and have them wait for you and take you back up if you needed it. We walked here from the African Monument/Statue, about 20min walk that was interesting.

For a non Muslim this is a good place to take a photo. I recommend from the Corniche, take several photos during the sunset.
