This is a great place to go, whatever your age, just outside of Dakar. After being briefed and equipped with a solid, good quality harness people are taken to a practise site, where the guides assess if you should or should not take part in the adventure of manoeuvring through the treetops of old, majestic Baobab trees. The path from each tree to the next differs every time. Sometime time you slide along the cable, the next you sit in a pirogue, but most of the time you walk over planks, cables, pols, sticks and whatever you would expect to find in a jungle. The grand finale is a slide down a long cable. You get a chance to climb a baobab tree and you can do the great slide from 25 m height for 315m of length. It is 110% fun ! The guides are great. They speak mostly French, but increasingly and quickly learn English. They are patient, polite and simply wonderfully helpful and always up for a laughter and fun, whilst never compromising on security. If you are in Dakar or nearby, this is a must to visit.
They also offer Teambuilding events. Their website is www.accro-baobab.com
Very close by is a hotel called Baobab Soleil, which has great food and wonderful service and is an oasis to rest. Almost opposite the Accrobaobab is the Reservat Bandia, which is also a great place to visit and explore some of Africa's wildlife.

We arrived late in the day and didn’t have the time or inclination to do the ropes course or lower level zip lines. We suited up and headed out to climb the big baobab for the one shot thrill. If you’re at Bandia across the road definitely worth a stop.

We were on holidays with the kids en decided to let them discover another face of Senegal. They were much more than happy with the cables bands, climbing... Attractions are based on the age and even my child of 4 was able to challenge herself. Very great experience between the "baobabs" and food as well was very tasty (hamburger, pancake)

Was expecting low level intensity in the form of some zip lines. Wrong. This is a challenge ropes course that does include a lot of ziplining, but also a great deal of balancing on small bits of wood and rope. The guys that took us through the course were great at being equal parts patient and fun which helped us keep our spirits high even when we were getting a little nervous. Beautiful views, just be sure to bring plenty of water as it can get hot out under the baobab trees.

This is a great idea for friends to try something exciting. It has a good variety of events designed to test different abilities in everyone - some difficult and others average.

I have done it before in a team building activity and my kids too went there in school trips. But this was the first time as a family. It feels safe and so well organized.!! We enjoyed it so much. It is a completely unexpected setting. But beware the heat from 11am to 5 pm. ideally better to go after November and before August.

My office went for a team building activity and had a blast. It takes about 1 to 1.5 hours with regular traffic to get there from Dakar. Some of the obstacles were surprisingly difficult. I was very impressed by the team and their safety regulations and professionalism. Highly recommended!

If you drive just over an hour from Dakar (on good roads), you will come across the wonder of Accro-baobab- this is a great activity with friends. The centre has a whole series of different courses with prices ranging from 10,000-20,000 CFA. It caters for those who are less and more adventurous & brave, but don’t expect it to be easy- the trees are high but the views are breathtaking. Some of the courses are self managed and others require a guide. Safety is taken very seriously. We did the zipline course across 14 trees. At one point, one of us got stuck and staff came and rescued them. We did the course just as the sun was coming down, which was magical! I highly recommend. It was just nice to be in nature and its one of the places you can keep going again and again! Really worth a visit-!

Fantastic experience with great people. The attractions are very secure and the price interesting
For kids and adults. I highly recommend the Zipline Baobab experience. It's really fun, ok a bit scarring, but fun.
You will enjoy for sure and the kids will ask for it again and again!

Zip lines are popular but they are usually about higher and longer slides. This one is different. While they have some fairly long zip slides, the best part is their other activities of different levels of difficulty. Some are fairly simple while others are very demanding, so you can pick something up to your level. Also, the baobab trees create a beautiful setting.
