I was astounded how well set up the museum is. There are many artifacts and original army uniforms in excellent condition. Also many wonderful photographs, displays and videos to be seen. We were fortunate to have one of the Sergents show us through at a leisurely and very informative pace. After the museum interior, you will also be shown the previous Presidential limousines, all in good condition.

The tour guide/driver that drove us around Senegal for four days told me that he served in the Senegal army for a couple of years. He told me that this army was famous for its Peace keeping ability. He asked the museum if I could see it.
He showed me the museum. The Senegal army did do a number of UN campaigns. This is an older style museum with traditional displays of flags, uniforms and photos. It did give me some more insight into Senegal lives, and history.

We were welcomed by a young soldier who gave us a very interesting tour of this museum which is worth the detour.
