A group of work colleagues from all over the world booked a 5 day tour with Let’s Go Rwanda Tour. The tour included gorilla trekking at Volcanic National Park, and day/night tours accompanied with a sunset boat ride along Lake Ihema at the Akagera National Park.

The tour was amazing, and this was highlighted by our incredible guide, Chris. Chris was so genuine, welcoming, friendly, knowledgeable and always excited. Chris truly is a shining light of the tourism industry in Rwanda. I highly recommend all tourists to book through Let’s Go Rwanda and request Chris’ services. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We used Let’s Go Tours for a trip to Akagera National Park to do a game drive. Our driver/guide Chris picked us up at the airport right on time with a very clearly marked sign. He was very friendly and clearly communicated the plan for our trip. As we drove from Kigali to the park, he gave us a lot of background on Rwanda and what we were seeing as we were driving. The car was a Land Rover type and was very comfortable with leather seats. Chris knew about the Covid entry requirements for the park and knew exactly where to get them. Having forgotten to get RWF cash at the airport, Chris was willing to pay for our tests in exchange for US, which saved us a lot of time and really showed how willing he was to make our trip great! Chris proposed that we did a few hours of safari the first night since we weren’t able to stay at the park for more than one night, and we were in! Chris took us to some nearby places in the park where we saw a fancy type of antelope, a giraffe, an elephant, and a lot of buffalo all in a 2 hours! Since he does tours in the park often, he knew exactly where to go to increase our chances of seeing animals. He dropped us off at our hotel and clearly told us when he’d be back in the morning. He also stayed at the hotel until he knew we were fully checked in. Next morning he was right on time and we were off! We did a full day game drive and saw all of the “Big 5!” We were incredibly impressed with his ability to spot animals, especially 2 lions that were hidden beneath a bush! Chris then took us back to Kigali and our hotel for the rest of our trip.

Overall, Chris was friendly, incredibly knowledgeable, a very good driver, and made our experience fantastic!

Booking this trip was easy through WhatsApp and we paid with a CC at the end of our trip.

Our group specifically requested Chris as our guide after hearing wonderful things about him from some friends who had just visited Rwanda, and we could immediately see why they had such a great experience!!

Chris is an exceptional guide. He is extremely knowledgeable about wildlife, has an infectiously positive attitude, and went out of his way to give us the best experience possible at Akagera National Park. Our group thoroughly enjoyed the park and the lodging, and made the absolute most of our 3 days there. Transportation, meals, and accommodations were all taken care of for us. We had so much fun driving around the park, and especially enjoyed the sunset boat cruise!

Chris did everything he could to help us spot each animal on our bucket list before our time came to an end, which we were so grateful for! He was always patient, kind, and accommodating, constantly made sure that we were happy and comfortable, and we deeply enjoyed his company and his stories throughout our time together. I would highly recommend Chris and Let's Go Tours to anyone looking for a tour experience that feels personal, genuine, and friendly.

We can highly recommend Let’s Go Tours Rwanda. We had a 16 day tour throughout Rwanda and Uganda and enjoyed every minute. The itinerary suggested by Vincent (the owner) was well organised so we had lots to do, but there was still time to relax and enjoy the accomodation. The balance of activities was excellent, we saw primates (gorilla, chimpanzee, and golden monkey treks, as well as numerous others along the way), large animals (leopards, elephants, rhinos, giraffes, hippos, buffalo, herds of antelope, and a lion poking it’s head about the grass) and many birds. In addition to this we went on boat trips, cultural activities and nature walks. The information we received about the trekking was very helpful and meant we were better prepared than many other people we met who were on different tours. Let’s Go were also flexible and allowed us to customise our activities, so we could include a tour to a coffee plantation.

Our drivers and guides were excellent. Steven drove us through Rwanda and organised the PCR tests required for primate tracking, optimised our itinerary each day so our activities avoided the storms in the afternoon, and even organised to have a key returned to a hotel that we had accidentally taken with us. Elvis was our guide in Uganda, and was a fount of knowledge. He could identify all the birds and animals we saw and gave us detailed information about the geology and history of the areas.

We stayed in a range of accomodation, from mid-range to luxury and high end. Some of the mid-range accomodation seemed like luxury (Arcadia Lodges and Enganzi Lodge). However the highlights were Ingagi Park View Lodge (Volcanoes National Park) and Kyaninga Lodge (in Fortportal).

Initially were a little concerned about needing to make a direct deposit to pay for the trip, however the company came recommended by a friend so we were confident that the tour would go ahead. We are very glad we went with Let’s Go Tours and Vincent was very responsive to all our questions. We can strongly recommend Let’s Go Tours and have been left with memories that will last a lifetime.

Seeing elephants, leopards and many other animals at Akegera National Park was breath taking. Our guide Chris was excellent and knew loads about the wildlife and about Rwanda. He made sure that we got to see so many amazing sights and was also very friendly and always tried to give us the best time. Back in Kigali he showed us the best local markets and even made sure we bought the best pineapples and avocados at the correct price. Thanks to Chris and Let's Go Tours for a wonderful three days.

Our 3-day Akagera experience with Lets Go Tours Rwanda was a good time with a dedicated guide (Steven). There were initially some difficulties in setup (there was a guide change after explicit email confirmation, no option to pay without incurring a 3% bank fee, and a lapse in communicating the last day's itinerary from office to guide), but all were overcome and our group of four ended up having a great experience. Steven was single-minded in his quest to show us the Big 5, and although the lions and leopards did not cooperate (as can be the case on any safari), we appreciated him rushing us all around the park based on the info he was constantly collecting from other guides about recent sightings. He was patient with making stops and taking photos, and was fun to talk to when we had downtime. We enjoyed our lunch on the way back to Kigali and Steven even offered to take us to the airport later that night since we had a late flight. We all had a great time and can recommend Let's Go Tours and Steven!

When looking to book safari at Akagera National Park, friends recommended Lets Go Tours and Chris. Luckily our schedule matched with Chris's and we had an unforgettable experience!

My group booked a 3 day safari and Chris was the best tour guide we could have asked for. He is personable, kind, and extremely knowledgeable. Our group wanted to make the most of our time at Akagera, and Chris saw to it. He accompanied us during early mornings and late nights to ensure we were able to see as many animals in the park as possible. The Land Cruiser had a "pop-top" roof which gave us the best views of Akagera.

When we weren't actively looking for animals, other parts of our tour such as lodging and meals were seamless and well planned. Chris was super accommodating in every way. Definitely seek him out when booking your trip to Akagera!

Everything about the 5-day gorilla trekking and Akagera National Park tour was exceptional! Chris was the best tour guide I’ve ever had. His stories of his life and his knowledge of the gorillas and all of the other animals in Akagera is something I will never forget. He took care of everything for us - accommodations, meals, transport, etc. All we had to do was show up and enjoy the amazing experiences that awaited us.

I highly recommend booking your African adventure with Let’s Go Tours Rwanda and requesting Chris as your tour guide!

I had the best time with Chris (the self proclaimed Gorilla Boy). He is friendly, funny, knowledgeable, and a great story-teller. He went above and beyond to find any and all animals during our 3 days in Akagera National Park.

Vincent, who runs the client communication via Whatsapp, was very responsive during the booking process. In hindsight, I'm not sure that I got the best "bang for the buck" but I also paid a bit of premium for being solo. Overall recommended - especially Chris!

From the first moment everything went wrong. We prepaid the whole trip with full board. But in hotels run after us that we should pay for launch or room,…guide was more just a driver rather a guide. He was not informed about our itinerary ,car broke two times in one day,…and many more things….so avoid this agency.
