My trip to Uganda and Rwanda was saved by Paul! I won't go into all details since it's too long and confusing of a story but to sum it up, I had paid another guide/company in full for a 3 day tour as well as two gorilla permits for Uganda. My permits were bought but from then on my original guide (one man company) was hard to get a hold of and gave me conflicting "stories" as well as inaccurate information. He wouldn't send me receipts for lodging that was supposed to be booked, etc..I had reached out to a company that I originally considered going through to ask if she had ever heard of the man/company I chose. She had not but put me through to someone who did-Paul with African Jungle Adventures. From then on-April through June-Paul communicated with me CONSTANTLY and tried to facilitate payments for two nights lodging from my original guide (the original guide only paid $100 from the $1700 I paid for lodging/food/some activities & guide). Paul put down the rest of the money for my lodging for Mount Gahinga Lodge (absolutely loved it) and Heaven Hotel (the restaurant was amazing). He also provided an excellent guide (Martin) and nice new jeep. My son and I are SO APPRECIATIVE and IMPRESSED with PAUL! He communicated immediately every time I texted-which was a lot since I was nervous about how all of this would work out. He was patient with my many texts and kept reassuring me he would take care of things. He promptly sent me the emails and receipts from the lodges he booked for us which was so appreciated. I couldn't have been more impressed with his customer service and integrity. There is no way to know for sure that he will be reimbursed by my original guide but hopefully he will! I just want to reassure anyone who is thinking about going with this company that Paul is the real deal and you are in excellent hands! His CUSTOMER SERVICE and INTEGRITY goes ABOVE AND BEYOND!! We will be forever grateful that PAUL SAVED OUR TRIP!!!

Our guide Alex was great! He was very knowledgeable and easy to get along with. Mathias in the office organised our awesome trip which included chimpanzee and gorilla trekking, game drives and boat cruises. Thankyou Alex for making our holiday so memorable!

My friends and I recently had a wonderful trip with African Jungle Adventures and the 2 day trek into Bwindi National Park. Matthias was easy to contact throughout the process and Emma our driver and tour guide was incredible extremely knowledgeable and personable. Seeing the Silverback Gorillas was a once in a lifetime experience that we will never forget. Every detail from lodging to transportation was thoroughly planned and made our time in Rwanda and Uganda unforgettable!

We booked a visit to Bwindi for Gorilla trekking with African Jungle Adventures and had a truly awesome experience. The actual tracking in Bwindi is absolutely amazing, but everything in the organisation of the trip was good. Mathias and Paul were very easy to communicate with and supportive with back and forth trips to the bank to help sorting out our payments, while James, our driver, took really great care of us all along the way. He was also just great company which made the long hours on the road super easy. The car was very comfortable too and definitely ideal for the kind of roads we were driving in. We stayed at Rushaga Camp when overnighting by the forest and that was great too, beautiful views, friendly staff and good food. Definitely recommend booking with African Jungle Adventures!

Gorilla trekking itself is awesome. Its an amazing experience getting up close and personal with these creatures, and you should definitely do it. While it takes a little longer driving up to Uganda to do it instead of doing it in Rwanda, it's definitely worth saving significant $ to do so ($600 in Uganda vs $1500 in Rwanda) and you get to see some more of Africa along the way. About my experience with African Jungle Adventures: I did a 2 day tour with African Jungle Safaris, crossing the border from Kigali into Uganda.. In booking my trip I dealt with Mathias, who answered all of my emails quickly with reliable information. The vehicle was in good condition. My guide and driver Martin was excellent, and he really did his best to make sure I enjoyed the trip. He spoke good English and pointed out a few sites along the way, basically going out of his way to help me have the best safari experience. The basic itinerary was Day 1 pickup in Kigali in the morning, drive to the Ugandan border, cross the border and eat lunch, before continuing on to Gorilla Mist Camp for dinner and rest. On Day 2, we woke up early, ate breakfast, drove to the briefing place where we were given our gorilla briefing and told which family we would be trekking to, then did the actual gorilla trek itself, then drove back across the border and to Kigali. I would use this company again and recommend to others. Note on crossing the border: The border itself can be a bit intimidating with many people, trucks and cars. That being said, crossing the border was not a big deal in either direction. You've got to get out of the car and wait in line at a few different stations since you have to both exit one country and enter another, but a relatively pain free experience.
