Travelled with Wilson Tours to Rwanda and Uganda for 11 days as a solo traveller and I had an amazing time. A very accommodating company. Wilson Tours secured a gorilla tracking permit for me with less than 2 weeks notice! And on top of that organised my accommodation and travel itinerary. I was very impressed considering my last minute travel plans.
Friendly and patient at all times. What else can I say, very well organised, very professional, very punctual ( I thought I was punctual!) with daily briefings & de-brief. Paid attention to detail. I really appreciated the transparency and honesty of Wilson and his company.
Some of the highlights of my trip included Akagera Safari Park and lodge (Rwanda), gorilla tracking in Bwindi forest (Uganda), boat rides on Kivu lake where I visited the napoleon island (Rwanda) and also Bunyonyi lake (Uganda) and the islands where the Wakanda films were based on. Canopy walking (Nyungwe National Park). I took many amazing pictures and made many amazing memories and friends.
Wilson and his employees are very knowledgeable about the country, regions and towns we visited, including the history.
The design of the trip was done uniquely for me. My own requirements were always catered to. I felt comfortable saying what I liked and disliked. You can request unique trips and stops along the way and they will try to fit it in for you - I was able to visit local community groups, churches and villages, to see how resourceful people were and how they lived. I ate out locally etc.
If travelling to Rwanda (and the rest of Africa), I recommend Wilson tours!

Lots of animals viewed, impressiv view from lodge. The boat trip brought us close to the hippos and lots of birds. Viewed som large croccos too. On the road South to North Even more animals, buffalo, impalas, zebras, giraffe, elephants «showed» their life in a good environmemt. An Adventure to remember.

We had a great short trip to Akagera National Park with Wilson Tours. Only had two days available but Wilson definitely made sure we got the most out of the time available and put together a great itinerary. Akagera is a little different from the other national parks I have been in, but it is still spectacular in it's own way, with it's gently rolling hills with the beautiful forested savannah, as well as the lakes with the papyrus swamps. Lots of hippos, crocodiles and water birds in the lakes and plenty of animals on land as well. I especially enjoyed the extended boat trip on the lake, as well as the night game drive. Akagera Game Lodge is a great place to stay, especially with the awesome view. Definitely want to go back at a later time. The quality of the service was great all along, and everything went smoothly.

The hiking was awesome. Wilson the tour guide has so much patience with you, friendly and your trusted guide. I will recommend him as the best tour agency ever. Kigali is definitely a beautiful place for a vacation

Had a wonderful time at Akagera National Park. Thanks to Wilson who took a lot of care to ensure that we enjoy every bit of my one day trip. Punctual,courteous,knowledgeable and helpful- this was Wilson for us. I would surely go back to his company for more tours because I know I’m with the best in this field.

I used Wilson for two occations on the same trip. The day-trip mountain gorilla trekking from Kigali in Rwanda, and a week of safari doing the Northern Circuit of Tanzania, travelling the national parks and conservation areas of Tarangire, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro and last but certainly not least the Serengeti.
Both trips was absolutely amazing, and Wilson Tours as well as their associates in Tanzania definitely contributed heavily to make it so.
For the gorilla trekking they fixed everything, including transporting us to and from the covid testing station for the required PCR test, and made sure we were provided with all the
necessary information.
Still, the best service was provided on my trip in Tanzania. They put together a great itinerary based on my initial wishes, but still provided plenty of flexibility during the week if I had any suggestions for alterations. We had a debrief and prebrief each evening to summarize the day and plan the details of the next. This was really helpful and a nice touch.
I had an altogether amazing week and will definitely use Wilson Tours again. I highly recommend them, including their Tanzania associate "the other Wilson" 🙂 I can also recommend their driver/guide Hussein, who was a great spotter and particularly good at spotting birds, a great benefit for me as a birder.

Had a 1 day trip to Akagera with a fantatic guide. Very good experience. I saw both lion, buffalo and elephant. Had a nice breakfast in the park. Ask for Julius as a guide.
