I cannot express how impressed I am with the ladies of Judith Safaris. Recently, I coordinated a two week long vacation for family and friends, traveling to Rwanda and Tanzania, using Judith Safaris. The young ladies who were our guides (Alice and Yvette), were excellent. Our trip coordinator Emily, was also excellent. They suggested dining options, hotels, and attractions that I wouldn't have come up with myself, and made it all work together into a seamless vacation for the ages.
I would recommend Judith Safaris to anyone who wants an authentic East African vacation / itinerary, and knowing their mission of empowering young Rwandan women, makes it all the more worthwhile to support this women-owned company. Judith Safaris has a customer for life in me!

We did a 2 day trip to Akagera National park incl. Game Drives on both days, a sunset boat ride and camping.
The trip was literally the most fun trip during my stay in Rwanda!!
Out driver (Pieter) picked us up in Kigali and stayed with us for the two days. He was really kind and did everything possible for us to see as many animals as possible. And indeed jn the end we saw 4 of the big 5 (only the leopard missing) and in general bad super much fun with him.
I can also highly recommend the sunset boat ride, as it was super relaxing, romantic and we saw a bunch of animals from the water!
In general the trip was super well organized (camping gear, tents, snacks and drinks, etc.) were provided) so we didn't have to take care of anything and could just lean back and relax.
Thank you very much for this experience!

Judith Safaris is a female powered tour company that provides customized tours and packaged tours. We got recommendations from multiple sources (NGO run by a friend, female powered resort…), and didn’t regret to cooperate with them for a customized two week tour throughout Rwanda. Alice our driver is patient, helpful, punctual, and friendly. She is not afraid to take challenges and did her best to make sure we are comfortable and happy during the road trip. She also tried to provide many useful recommendations to make our trip more relaxing and interesting. When we were registering for our gorilla trekking trip in Volcanoes National Park, I was proud but a bit sad to see Alice was the only female guide amongst almost 40 guides that day. The communication we had with their back office when we were planning the details of the itinerary, and during our trip was very timely and helpful as well. Please consider to work with Judith!

My guides Alice and Yvette from Judith Safaris were fun, kind, professional and still like sisters. We traveled from Musanze Rwanda to Bwindi and lake Bunyonyi in Uganda and the trip with these women couldn’t have been better. I would strongly recommend Judith Safaris to anyone. Also this company has a focus on empowering women and bringing more women into the field of tourism. 10/10!

Another fabulous tour with Judith Safaris.
I think this was my favorite. Our first stop was the tea plantation.
Our guide was knowledgeable .We took a boat ride on beautiful lake Kivu
and had a delicious picnic lunch. We spent the evening in Musanze and had
a delicious meal while enjoying a fire in the fireplace. The next morning
We visited the Twin Lakes. A lovely boat ride to a new
hotel and touristic venture. We later had a delicious
meal fresh whole fish, dodo and fried potatoes.
Take this your it was lovely. Two days of relaxation

I visited Rwanda as a solo traveler for the first time ever - both Rwanda & solo traveling as a first time. I'm so thankful I chose Judith Safari to book my gorilla & coffee plantation tour over two days. One reason I picked them was because they are woman owned, woman led. We gotta' support each other! They took care of everything. It was so easy! I even had a 4am pickup for the gorillas - which felt a little scary, meeting a stranger from the other side of the planet to take me to mysterious places in the dark. The gorilla experience is like visiting another planet and the coffee tour was incredibly educational. I'll never look at coffee the same! Both experiences were on opposite ends of the country (N & S) so I got to see so much without realizing it when I booked the trip. My guide was fantastic and pointed out things I wouldn't have realized had significance - like crossing a bridge where the Nile originates! I highly recommend this to anyone.

This company and their guides go the extra mile.
We met one of the guides (Anaclet) while he was with clients in Nyungee (see desconcertado's review below). While we were just talking to him, he provided great advise and organised us a taxi to make our life easier and as a simple good gesture. We later contacted to rent a 4x4 for us to do a self drive tour of Anakarga National Park. When he dropped the 4x4 to our hotel we told him our plans and he rang ahead to set us up with his recommended on site park guide and organised our hotel. Great service.

Went on a day trip to the Volcanoes National Park on a trek to see Golden monkeys with my son & later visited the cultural center. Had an awesome time & Judith was very helpful in resolving an unexpected issue. Very highly recommend Judith Safaris.

I don't know where to start! We had the most amazing taste of Africa tour ever. We painted the town with Judith's team. Her guides were so knowledgeable and they rolled out the red carpet for us on this 16 day tour. From Kigali to Tanzania they made us feel at home. I would definitely do this tour again and hope to have Alice, Yvette, Dana, Tuma, Frank, Doris, and there's one more, who name has slipped my mind, to be our tour guide.

the one day Gorilla tour it give a chance to the people who don't have enough time in Rwanda the tour starts at around 5 am from kigali to the volcanoes national park.
the price includes transportation(4WD), driver guide, lunch, pick up and drop off.
Gorilla permit is not included in the price. it's $1500 in Rwanda but we also do it in Uganda where it's much cheaper.
