In mid November we travelled to Rwanda for the first time and were blown away by how beautiful, safe, exciting and inspiring a country it is. Daniel at Inkuyo Safaris looked after for the entire week going over and beyond in terms of service. He arranged everything with us prior to our arrival, ensuring everything we wanted to do was booked for us and then ensuring when we were there we were booked in so all we had to do was relaxed and enjoy it all. And wow is there a lot to enjoy in Rwanda. The gorilla trek was the absolute highlight, it is an extra ordinary experience and one that describing here can't do it justice, it's jaw droppingly good ! Daniel because he knows all the guides made sure we had an one that he knows is particularly good and he was. Then there is Akagera Game Park which again Daniel self drove us around with a guide that he had lined up to take us who he again knew as being the best guide in the park. this ensured we saw more than we could have possibly have expected including an up close and personal experience with a 7 ton bull elephant and an amazing siting of a leopard during the day. Just incredible. The scenery throughout the country is stunning, Daniel was forever stopping at picture perfect locations so we could take pictures of the stunning landscape. Rwanda and its people are an inspiration and a lesson to all of us in their strength of forgiveness, determination and teamwork. They are so proud of their country and determined to give visitors an amazing welcome and experience whilst they visit. The genocide memorial is harrowing but a necessity in order to understand just how incredibly well the country has recovered to where it is now. Daniel knew exactly how to manage the memorial visit ensuring we were prepared before by explaining the history leading up to 1994 and then during by accompanying us around staying in the background until we needed him. He also off his own back then took me out for a drive around the city showing areas of beauty, rising prosperity and fun which cleverly balanced the day and ensured it ended inspired by the peoples strength. The country is one of the safest places I've visited and I felt far safer running a number of times around a 3.5 mile loop in Kigali than I do in many parts of central London! The place feels so safe, clean and prosperous, its a world away from what I had imagined. Daniel took time again off his own back to ensure that I knew the best (note not the safest as its all safe) route to run to see landmarks and the local parts. All in all it was a mind blowingly amazing week, like seeing all of Africa in one country in one week. The whole trip was put together so well by Daniel and then managed so professionally but in a very relaxed and friendly way. Inkuyo Safaris is Daniel's business and he treats his customers as though they are the most important people in the world and with the kindest of manners. You can trust the business 100% and you can rely 100% on Daniel to deliver an incredible experience that will leave you wanting to return for more (and I am very fussy and like the nice things in life!).

On 30th March with the team of inkuyosafaris led by the guide Daniel, this was an interesting trek from a fresh start. Kigali to the park office we received a lot of information. The kigali city view, the northern region information. I and my team knew the term KIVURUGA which is interesting with Daniel. The trek was easy and Daniel gave us the introduction about the golden monkeys and the monkey family we visited shared us what Daniel exactly gave us in the introduction. I recommend Daniel from inkuyosafaris as your guide during your trip to Rwanda.
