I had a really great tour of Akagera with Cedric as my guide. Highly recommended if you want to get out of Kigali for the day!

What an amazing tour! I was in Kigali for work but had a Saturday free and was anxious to see the city, so I signed up for this tour. It was worth every cent. From 9:30 to 5ish you fit in everything that you could want to do in a day. From seeing local artwork to markets, going to the top of Mt. Kigali and so on. There are plenty of opportunities for snacks and drinks s as well, between the milk bar, the Question Coffee stop, and the lunch with traditional Rwandan fare. The trip ends at the Genocide Memorial, which is an important stop that you must see while in Kigali.

The guide, Desire, was fantastic. She was extremely knowledgeable and kept the energy going through the entire day. She also provided some very good restaurant recommendations for near my hotel! Overall 10/10, no notes, would recommend.

If you’re visiting Kigali for the first time, then this trip is an ABSOLUTE must! We were lucky enough to have Desiree as our guide and she was incredible and so fun to be with! Ask for her if you can and you will not be disappointed!!
We would have never been able to have planned such a perfect day! We started with a walking tour of the downtown business area, followed by a visit to local and professional murals, a fun visit to a Kigali milk bar to try local milk and learn of the importance of milk bars, a delicious stop for snacks to have local samosas and donuts (seriously some of the best samosas I’ve ever eaten), a reload for coffee from that was so good, a trip to Kimironko market where Desiree helped us navigate the chaos and my wife and I were able to purchase a pattern that was made into a shirt and dress and bag, an authentic lunch where we got to try foods I would have never thought to order, and then we finished with an important visit to the Rwanda Genocide memorial. Not once during the tour did I ever feel rushed or tired from the activities. It was a well planned out experience that left me feeling connected with Kigali and Rwanda and I’d recommend this tour with Desiree for everyone!

Excellent tour! Our guide Eric was truly outstanding. He was cheerful, patient, informative, flexible, and fountain of knowledge. The company picked up our big group at our guesthouse and took care of us all day, including offering to swing back by our hotel mid-day to pick up another member of our group. Every stop was well planned and expertly executed, giving us a real taste of this beautiful city. Our last stop was the Genocide Memorial, and afterward Eric thoughtfully helped us process the emotionally difficult experience. I recommend this company!

I did a full day city tour with GoKigali. There were four of us in the trip. It was well paced, allowing us time to look at landmarks, take photos, and ask the questions we wanted to.
I had planned to visit the Genocide Memorial anyway, so was pleased to find out that it was included in the tour as the last location. This gave those who did not want to see it (if there were any!) the opportunity to end their tour before it.
I particularly liked the lunch at the local restaurant with local foodstuffs, many of which we had seen in the market in the morning.
It was well worth the money.
I was impressed enough to do a second tour with them later in the week, going to see the gorillas.

Our family of five had an amazing visit to Rwanda, which was planned and coordinated entirely by GoKigali. Our guide Eric was excellent. We trekked with gorillas; spent time at the splendid Ellen DeGeneres Gorilla Center; did a walking tour of Musanze's central market; took a backroads trip from Musanze to Kigali through gorgeous villages and countryside; visited the harrowing Kigali Genocide Museum and drank a lot of delicious local coffee.

GoKigali's staff is outstanding. The planning, selection, booking and invoicing were thorough, transparent and easy. They presented us with various options and choices, all of which were helpful and gave us great control over our itinerary and activities.

We had a couple of inconvenient visa, vaccination and flight cancellation issues that popped up unexpectedly during our trip. In each case, the GoKigali team immediately jumped on the issue and helped us solve each problem with very little stress. They were always ready to help, and always available -- even at odd times of day.

Bottom line, this is a fantastic company. I highly recommend them.

My family agrees that this is the best travel company we have ever used -- for the best trip that we have ever taken.

I had a full day layover on my way back to the US from Ethiopia and Uganda. I could not imagine a better way to spend the day. With Desiree, I was able to experience a modern, clean, vibrant and chill city. Every stop was precious and added something to my understanding of Rwanda and Kigali. Desiree quickly got a feel for what I wanted to see and what type of things I wanted to shop for. She was also very patient and accommodating.
I enjoyed the milk bar (something I had no idea about) and the wall of murals that Desiree explained so well. The genocide museum was not a happy experience but something everyone should see because it is really visceral experience that leaves no doubt how horrible genocide is and that it can happen anywhere. Given that it is even more amazing how Kigali could have become such a cool organized and clean city.
I love all the treasures I brought home. I pretty well wear the African necklace everyday. Thank you Desiree for suggesting we go to one more shop to go to.

I first saw 'Go Kigali Tours' (GKT) looking for city tours around Kigali. GKT was very prompt in their responses versus others and the price was as advertised. GKT had a nice variety of stops and ending at National Genocide Memorial. Also the TripAdvisor reviews that i read were very favorable.
Desiree was our guide was prompt and it was just four of us (a mother visiting her daughter and my daughter and I). Desiree was engaging, well spoken and very knowledgeable.
At the milk bar we were offered both white milk and buttermilk. I can't remember the last time I had milk and this was the first time I ever had buttermilk. Since milk is such an important part of their society you have to experience it!
The market was fun, very active and I found the colorful handmade shirt I always wanted.
The Women's Center we visited was a wonderful place for handmade baskets, clothes and bags.
The overview of the city was not what I expected but more of a valley of trees and some houses. Also a ride on water taxi did not occur and I forgot to ask but it didn't matter because we enjoyed our time with Desiree.
The coffee stop and the Rwandan lunch stop were both very good where we had great conversations.
The tour ended at the main National Genocide Memorial which much be visited so it is NOT repeated anywhere.
We would do this tour again going to different places with GKT customizing it as our host

Go Kigali/Further organised and managed our family trip to Kigali, Akagera and Musanze! It was simply brilliant! We were looked after by Eric and Number 8 ;) The whole was experience was simply wow!!! From the tour of Kigali visiting a local market, eating fresh delicious fruits and Rwandan meals, trying the milk bar (still agreeably surprised about this) the drive to Akagera with a stop or 2 on route to grab snacks and use the loos, staying right on the park with a huge hippo coming to graze right next to our room!!!! to the gorilla and golden monkey trekkings, all in all it was I can’t stop saying FANTASTIC! Yes I do recommend the whole team! Honesty, flexibility, accommodating, tailor made, value for money… I can’t fault them! Again thank you Eric and Number 8 and the Whole Team! We are forever grateful 🙏🏾. Ps: Rwanda is indeed the cleanest country in the whole of Africa, hat off!!

The city tour of Kigali was well organised and very informative. We did not know much about Rwanda or its history before arriving however, our guide Eric was knowledgeable and educated us about this.
The tour provided a number of opportunities to try local cuisine and the food provided was amazing!
I would recommend Go Kigali tours to anyone interested in booking a Kigali city tour.
