With a limited amount of time you can take the most out of your journey to discover the treasures of Namibia by flying over the beautiful desert and the amazing coast line. The welcome at Scenic Air was very friendly and our Pilot was real passionate. It was an amazing experience

We had a 7 day vacation in Namibia that required 3 flights with Scenic Air. This is a great way to get to different places quickly (2 passenger Cessna). It is safe, clean, and professional. The flights were on time and we had great pilots. Fantastic views from the air that you wouldn't get from the ground. I never have landed on bush runways before - real fun. Great experience. I highly recommend Scenic Air.

Scenic Air took me on a flight from Enos to Andbeyond Sossusvlei and back to Winkhoek. They were awesome. The flights were easy and timely. I rode on a small Cessna. I felt very safe and the views at the lower altitude were amazing. The pilots Luwayne and Camlo were the best! They were very kind, friendly and a pleasure to ride with. They pointed out cool mountains and geography as we flew. Everything was top notch and I hope to come back to Namibia soon!

We had a 12 day trip in Namibia, arranged by AndBeyond. We were booked on 6 private charter flights with Scenic Air. This is the best way to travel the whole country within a few days. We had a cozy Cessna 210 for the two of us. All the pilots are very professional and experienced. We were private pilots so we had a great time chatting about flying. We spent our last 5 days with Matthew, who is very diligent with planing our flight safely. He is very pleasant company and we enjoyed talking to him about traveling the world. He is very knowledgeable and he is the best at spotting interesting sites on our route. We even saw a family of elephants from the plane!

I had a limited amount of time to explore Namibia and decided to focus on the Skeleton Coast. I contacted a few air tour companies and Scenic Air had a flight available on the Skeleton Coast on the day I could go. In the end, it ended up being just me alone in the plane, and I really appreciated that the Scenic Air folks went through with the flight when then could have easily canceled.
My main contact, Megan, introduced herself via Whatsapp while I was still in the US before my trip to Namibia. She was super helpful with advising on dress for the flight, hotels to stay in and what time to leave.
The flight was stupendous. It goes inland over uranium minds and mountains and dry riverbeds, turns north towards another mountain chain and another dry riverved, and then heads to the Atlantic and returns to Swakopmund via the Skeleton Coast. The pilot (spacing on his name, shame on me) was a South African who had relocated to Swakopmund and he was fantastic - he offered just the right amount of tour information, had answers when I needed them, and was an excellent pilot. I was very comfortable in the Cessna as he skillfully piloted it.
If you are in Walvis Bay or Swakopmund and you're looking to get a great overflight over the Skeleton Coast, then Scenic Air is a great option for you. They are actually based in Winhoek and offer several times of air journeys, from a short one like mind to ones which are lengthier and offer more direct access to some of the landscape. Don't hesitate to call them.

Four of us were travelling to 4 destinations in Namibia. We chartered a Scenic Air Cessena 208 flown by pilot Graham Wood who flew all legs of our journey and he and the aircraft stayed with us for the tour leaving out to Evos airport in Windhoek.
We first flew to Eagles Tented Camp by Etosha. We did not like this camp and so it was no problem for us to leave early and fly to Swakopmund and spend an extra day in that delightful town in the beautiful Strand Hotel.
Next off to Wolvedans Dunes Camp via the edge of the ocean and over abandoned ship wrecks and mining towns.
Leaving Wolvedans we flew back to Windhoek over the most spectacular dessert and river eroded topography we have ever seen. Truly amazing! This was the best scenery of the trip.
This trip by air covered a good deal of Namibia and we saw a lot of sand but also many animals and a road system. After seeing all of this, there is no way I would travel by land; if you broke down, you would be dead from the heat.
Graham the pilot was a very accomodating fellow and did his best to ensure our safety and comfort and get us the best views of Namibia that he could.
Thanks to Graham and thanks to Scenic Air!

In order to see much more from Namibia, we chartered a small plane for 5 people.
Started from Swakopmund going to wolvendans en taking us back to Windhoek.
Brand new plane were we felt very save especially with a well trained pilot Raymond who was all the time with us.
He knows the places very well and explained during the flights all the landmarks that we passed.
We really recommend Scenic air to discover Namibia and take Raymond as your pilot. Many thanks ! On behalf of the Vonk-Jans family.

Booked this with high expectations given the potential - and the cost. Were picked up at our lodging for our flight and shuttled to main office in Swakopmund. Busy time with various groups coming and going and we were 'processed', provided a quick briefing and then, after a bit, shuttled to the airport amid the chaos. No big deal as this is part of the travel experience. The flight was in the aircraft expected which provided a decent view - but the whole flight was at such a high altitude, despite the briefing, that it didn't give a unique view. Flying over Sossuvlei and the coastal shipwrecks were so high and brief were kind of pointless.
A different perspective but not worth the cost and the service. Everyone involved was polite and professional it just didn't deliver as advertised. We saw other planes at lower altitude and it seemed we were just being pushed through the itinerary. The ground based drives provide much more value, information and insight into the region.

Firstly i would like to thank you for taking the time to advise of your recent experience with us at scenic Air. It is only through feedback such as yours that we are able to maintain and indeed where necessary , improve upon the service that we provide to our valued guests.
We were saddened to hear of your view on the Scenic Flight and I personally looked into your concerns you highlighted.. In peak season as you mentioned the hustle and bustle is part of the travel experience. It was an extremely busy day with subsequent back to back flights that the team was trying to please all. Of which we did receive some good feedback and some shared photographs.
Unfortunately we have little control over some circumstances such as the weather or the whereabouts of our wildlife, as you understand, However we can control the time we take with guests even on hectic days, with the pilot for questions etc. and not being rushed. We have been working on some Customer care and communication tools courses the team has been involved in this year and hoe to constantly improve.
The pilot explained it was a turbulent flight this flying a bit higher over Sossusvlei to avoid any passengers from feeling to Queasy. I would like to highlight for note that we firmly stick to the rules and regulations clearly stated by law and don’t distress the birdlife at the Sandwich Harbor sanctuary; flying at the required levels.
Scenic Air prides itself on the product we offer, the service we give as well as the dedication of the Pilots, Charter Coordinators and the whole team to ensure the guests have a unique and memorable experience in whatever way we Can. We strive to continuously grow and adapt from all feedback. Thank you again for the time you took to write in.
Kind Regards
Shanna

We spent 10 days in Namibia from Etosha to Damaraland, Sossusvlei and back, we splurged and arranged for Scenic Air to be our taxi from one spot to another. The BEST choice ever! Roads in Namibia are horrid --and long, long stretches of nothing but desert scrub. We were able to see it all from above and felt like celebrities as our private pilot dropped us off on a remote landing strip and our resort had a car there waiting to take us to the hotel. ALL the pilots were wonderful --some quite young, but all exhibited total competence. They were fun, too. Sometimes they would stay at the hotel where we were and it was fun to socialize with them and learn about life in the "bush" from a 25 year old perspective.
Planes were all clean, well-kept and our entire schedule for 10 days went without a hitch. Pilot always there for pick up.
We enjoyed a tour of the skeleton coast from Swapkomond to Sossusvlei seeing the extensive coastline, seal colonies, ship skeletons, and then over the dunes. Beautiful! The only way to travel!

We had the BEST experience with Scenic Air. We had a last minute planned trip to Namibia and only 5 days to so Safari, see the dunes and go to the waterfront. After a lot of research it seemed the only way to do it was by air. WHAT a great decision. It was so worth the cost. No long car rides, but instead scenic gorgeous views from overhead. VERY professional pilot and felt very safe, despite the small plane. ON the way there, I had a stomach flu and everyone at scenic air could not have been nicer. The booking and the arrangements with the front officer were also very very easy. Cannot recommend this option enough.

Good day - I would like to enquire about a flight of say 3 hours or less to view part of Namibia - What are the costs involved? Thanks

Good Evening Surette
Hope this finds you well. Thanks for getting in touch. When will you be in Namibia?
My best suggestion to see some glorious views would be to do A Scenic Flight from Swakopmund. Can you send us your email address or alternatively email us on the email address on our page and we can send you some more details and options.
Keep well see you soon.
