Chameleon safari helped me organize my time in Namibia, and helped me so much in arranging transport and lodging. I had an ongoing conversation with Berelize who helped me research every possible option for my trip.
They were very patient although I had a lot of requests and very specific dates. Even on a very short notice they made this possible.
I also stayed at Chameleon guesthouse which was very welcoming with a lot of different spaces for the guests to hang out.

Today we had a guided tour around Windhoek by Gideon, Raymond and Petrus. We were 21 students and two teachers and we had such a wonderful experience. They shared so much knowledge about the country and its history and furthermore, they connected so well with the students. We would definitely recommend Chameleon Safaris to other school groups.

I very much enjoyed Petrus and his attention to detail and focus on guests needs and comfort. The tour was quite thorough covering pretty much all there is in town. We went out to Katatura where all in the group would've liked to spend a little more time than we did. I guess that will be saved for another tour.

The backpackers hostel is great however the tours are wildly overpriced. I booked a carnivore feeding trip for 1600Rand. The trip lasted just over three hours, two of which were driving to the venue and back, entry to the park is 750Rand so therefore the transport was excessively overpriced. The driver is a member of staff at the hostel so I wonder where all the money goes? I strongly suggest hiring a taxi or car and make your own way there. It's a shame.

We took part in a 6 day tour by chameleon safaris and it was excellent. Every single day was well organised and the food was always delicious. Our tour guide Johnny made always a very good job, new a lot and could tell us about the animals and nature. Furthermore, we had a friendly and nice travel group and those 6 days were the most adventures time in Namibia. We saw all the animals we wanted to see and more. I can just recommend a tour with Chameleon cause everything is planed, the distances are far for self drive, because Namibia is huge and to take part in a group will be way cheaper than to travel alone.

We made three day trips with Chameleon Safaris in Windhoek. Our first was the the Cat feeding and the Game Drive, then we made an early morning hike at Daan Viljoen, and then the Nam Flava township and city tour. On each tour we were blessed to have Raymond as our tour Guide. Raymond was extremely knowledgeable, accommodating and a genuinely wonderful person. He was popular and beloved in every place we went. Chameleon Safaris have many different trips and if everyone is like Raymond then I recommend this business as your first stop to seeing Namibia and all the wonderful things it has to offer. Thank You Raymond and Chameleon Safaris.

6 Days Dunes & Wildlife
We did the 6 Days Dunes & Wildlife tours. This journey has trully convinced me that Africa is a rich and beautiful massive continent, more specifically Namibia. And we may have just only scratched the surface.
Etosha was just jaw dropping, we were in the middle of the animal kingdom and saw a lioness devoured a zebra. We even saw batches of elephant families taking turn drinking the water, with some rhinos, hyennas and springboks drank the water from a safe distance. The tribal villages of Herero, Damara and Himba were uniqe and an awakening for us of how lucky we are with our everyday’s way of living. Sossusvlei was just an another world, with special mention of Deadvlei. One of the hardest activity I had to endure, but is the most mindblowing and amazing. Last but not least, the Cheetah Solitaire conservation…love, love, love…3000.
Chameleon does a thorough and amazing itinerary, and Gregory our guide, has done above and beyond in executing it. He did everything from driving us, explaining things and even cooked for us. Gregory looked after us attentively and we felt very comfortable, well informed and well fed for sure. His knowledge about places of interest and history is very well, his driving skill is superb, and his cookings were just excellent. We were never in a rush nor hurried during this trip, but yet he managed to get from one place to another on time. Additionally, we met new people from other countries and made great friendships in this trip.
I hope we will have the chance again to do more exciting African trips like this in the future. I left my heart in Namibia.
Big thanks to the Chameleon team, and a special shout out to Gregory. You guys exceeded our expectations.

We debated about trying to do our booking by ourselves, since we like to be involved in every part of our trip. In the end, the folks at Chameleon worked with us to arrange all of our bookings just the way we wanted them. The price was completely comparable, so that alone would have been worth the convenience. Then add to it that the airline made us miss our connection and lose a bag, holding us an extra day in Addis Ababa and necessitating an emergency reshuffle of bookings. It was such a huge relief to have someone on the ground in Namibia who could help us over the (slightly) bumpy start to our trip. It all ended up working out perfectly, and the only thing I had to concentrate on was driving on the darn left side of the road! Thanks in particular to Queendeline for all of the fussing over bookings and putting up with our tweaks, and to Tina, who took over for Queen when she was away and we arrived. Tina stayed late and gamely sat out much later than she'd planned and in the cold to go over arrangements one-on-one after our frazzled arrival. We'd recommend Chameleon in a heartbeat, and hope to use them again if we're lucky enough to return to Africa someday.

We join the 8 day’s private tour in Chameleon Safaris. I had the distinct pleasure of having Justus as our tour guide, and I cannot commend their work enough. Absolutely fantastic. My wife and I did the 6 day camping tour from Swakopmund as part of our honeymoon and had the best time. Our guide Taimi was brilliant, she made everyone relaxed and comfortable and went over and above with the cooking. I was expecting very basic food, but every night she produced something incredibly tasty including a fantastic Namibian Christmas dinner. Our driver Rudolf was also great and would go the extra mile to make our tour enjoyable. The campsites we stayed on were comfortable with great facilities. The sites such as Soussesvlei, Fish River Canyon, and Quiver Tree Forest were incredible.

Hi there,
Thanks for the information and good to read about them. For the camping option is it a case that they bring their own tents? At nearly 150 Euro per day I though it would be glamping type camping at the camp sites en route. Sounds now, more like a case of roll out the tents each evening and roll up each morning while sleeping on hard ground. Is this the type of camping option they give at that price.

Accommodation in the desert is taken care by the tour operator. It is a desert lodge kind of a thing with all the basic necessities. So the traveller need not worry about setting up the camp.
