A Family run Business started with Louw Schoeman in 1977 who was instrumental in the proclamation of the Skeleton Coast Park in 1971.
The offspring spent their childhood days (early 60's & 70's) exploring and playing among the remains of old ship wrecks and wonders of the Skeleton Coast.
Let us show you our own back yard in an experience you will always remember and carry close to your hart .

Wow. Sometimes you are lucky enough to have an experience that leaves you both speechless and giddy - desperate to tell someone, anyone, about it. Skeleton Coast Safaris IS that adventure, and The Skeleton Coast IS that place. Rare. Unique. Photos and words do not capture it.
My wife and I are well seasoned travelers, in particular to Africa; and this was a standout among dozens of other standouts. From the exhilarating and unique vantage you get in low level flight, to the Schoemans very remote, private and incredibly situated camps, you get to see unusual and in turns sensuously beautiful and stark landscapes.
Bertus brought so much of this spectacular country to life with his geology expertise and obvious love of archeology, along with wonderful stories of having grown up exploring Namibia with his family - places that they now share with you.
You will want for nothing with the Schoemans.

We were so fortunate to be on a 5 day air safari last week. We cannot thank Andre Schoeman enough for a truly unforgettable experience which will stay with us forever . The beauty and majesty of Namibia has been a wonder . Our friends,who had recommended the tour, had said that is was probably the best trip that they had ever made. They were so right. Anything in the future will not be able to better last week’s experience .
Thank you for your guidance, your brilliant piloting skills, sharing your extensive knowledge from geology to botany , from Namibian politics to the humanitarian perspective, and for bringing it all together to ensure that we really did get the most out of every minute. We felt that we packed weeks of travel into 5 days. It will be some time before we have fully processed all that we have seen . An utterly brilliant company.

I am a traveler. Of all of the global travels I have done I have to say this was the most intoxicating, unique, out of this world experience I have ever had. There is nothing like the Skeleton Coast anywhere, nor people like the Schoeman family who are as passionate about sharing it with travelers. The desert is so very alive in so many ways. I laughed, learned, shot too many photos, connected, all because this Flying Safari gives you a perspective that few will ever have. If you love landscape, and all that comes with it, from geology to topography, to climate and color, indigenous people, flower, fauna and animals, then you will be as mesmerized as my sister and I.

I am an Africa travel planner and had the pleasure of doing a flying safari with Skeleton Coast Flying Safaris 17 years ago and since then I have arranged many clients to go on these unique flying safaris. Recently I arranged for a group of friends (7 of them, all keen photographers and very well travelled) to have a private custom made safari of 5 nights and they had the best time. All of the small details and intricate logistics were flawlessly discussed and arranged with the Schoeman family in particular Helga and Cindel. Nothing was too much trouble and they went above and beyond to make sure the clients had the most unforgettable trip. They have come home with exceptional memories and photographs. Huge thanks to all.

Outstanding finale to our Namibian adventure.
We enjoyed the whole experience of the flights, sightseeing from above, the very comfortable camping and the excursions at the camps.
Food was plentiful and the whole organisation was seamless.
