Splendid is all I really need to say. Décor extremely unusual but interesting. Food excellent, I had the Eisbein, although huge( they did have the ladies version that night), it was so soft and the crackling was fantastic. Drinks were good too. Don't leave Windhoek without visiting, even if it is to look at the décor ( not recommended if... More

Joe's is such an institution in Windhoek. Its a quirky place with lots of interesting decor. Make sure you book as the place is often full. Make no mistake, this is not a cheap exercise but overall it is worth it. The food is good and the beers always cold. Make sure you try the Eishbein, it is magnificent!

I am in Windhoek for a couple of months on business, and my first intro to restaurants in the city was Joe's - on recommendation of just about everyone who heard that I was coming here. The restaurant has a great vibe, with a welcoming chatter of people all around (something that can be appreciated when traveling alone). Seeing that... More

Several people told us this is a place we must visit, but food is just okay. I ordered oryx steak, which came with baked potato and salad. The sauce for the oryx was very delicious, and the portion of meat was large. Our bartender/server, Gabriel, was good, and mostly attentive. I drank a draft Windhoek lager, which was a good... More

Stopped at Joe's on the beginning of a three-week trip around Namibia, and finished the trip with a great dinner with friends. Love the bar, great service and peanuts in shell, and very imaginative menu and wonderful Windhoek Draft beer. The service was very good, and the food excellent...will return to Joe's when we return to Windhoek next year.

You don't visit Windhoek without going to Joe's. It's a nice start up for drinks & food if you are planning to go dancing or party. The food is excellent and the staff doesn't keep you waiting at the bar or serving you at the tables! It gets very busy sometimes and the service/food could take a while, but believe... More

We, a group of 4, went to Joe's after reading Trip Advisor reveiws. It lived up to all that was spoken about it. But one thing we did that was great.... ordered 2 starters and 2 mains and shared them. This was a wise choice as the sizes were huge and even though we were sharing we were not hungry... More
