Restaurant with a difference in Windhoek. Lovely outdoor area with great ambience. Not just steaks but some very unique and interesting fare, game meat is a speciality. Absolutely excellent food, the best in town. Great beer too as it's name indicates! Very reasonable prices by western standards, expensive for Windhoek but you seriously get value here with the amount they... More

Jo's rightly remains a local institution, it is always busy with local and tourists alike, because it offers a good ambiance, good food quality service and decent value

Too touristy & noisy like a fish market. Too long between courses but good service if you like ordering/ buying more drinks while waiting. Food ok but nothing to scream about. Not my future 1st choice.

My wife and visited Joes for a couple of drinks and a meal. A truly unique decor which adds to the whole atmosphere. We had a beautiful meal. My wife had pork cutlet with mushrooms and I had springbok both of which were excellent. If you are in the area I highly recommend Joe's

A iconic landmark in Windhoek. Fantastic food combined with a trendy atmosphere and you get Joe's. Remember to book early as it was packed to the rafters. But it is a must to any travellers to Windmhoek.

It was our first meal in Namibia. We were seated a picnic like table in a bar area with two other couples. We,struck up conversation with both - one from the Netherlands and the other from South Africa. The food was good and the beer was perfect. Service was slow due to the throngs of people and the rather big... More

Title says it all really. A great atmosphere, full of great things to look at. Food is ok, mainly meat, game, some fish but that's it. Very American influenced, not traditional Namibian in the slightest. We went as part of our tour group of 16, very slow service with drinks being delayed as well as main course. Some had finished... We visited Joe's place at both the very beginning and very end of our sojourn in Namibia. The place is eccentric and needs to be experienced. They serve German dishes and Namibian ones. We ate almost exclusively game and universally found the oryx best. I once tried the Eisbein and thought it very good, though my wife tasted, and didn't... More

This is a quaintly decorated hotel venue. Obviously well patronised by the locals. Some great old relics.
