I had the pleasure of being guided by Simão Langa of Mabeco Tours on a recent two week tour of Mozambique.

Simão did a great job with a demanding group of seven photographers.. Simão was an excellent and professional ambassador for both Mabeco Tours and Mozambique. He was never impatient, always prompt and constantly cheerful. His enthusiasm and passion for Mozambique and his career was contagious! He is a careful and cautious driver which I appreciated.

I highly recommend Simão and Mabeco Tours.

2 days hiking in Inhaca.
I went twice before to Inhaca on my own. this specific adventure allows you to access to some areas you would not know on your own.
It was hard walking at the end of the day but while in the action you do not notice as you take your time and the team is always attentive.
3 or 4 team members were always with us one of them local from the island which was great as you could see he wanted to share the beautiful areas of his island with you.
well organized and as I said access to some places where you would not go on your own

Having never been to Mozambique, I sought the advice of a reliable South African tour operator that I know very well. They referred me to Mabeco tours and quickly I was in contact with Simao Langa. I sent my requirements to him and he arranged everything in Mozambique for us from A-Z. He had someone meet us on arrival in the airport and guide us through the complexities of Mozambique's bureaucratic immigration procedures and Simao himself was waiting outside to greet us. He arranged our transfers, our hotel, a tour of Maputo itself, and a great full day outing to Eswatini. The arrangements made by Simao and his personal attention to our visit made all the difference for us and made our experience in Mozambique wonderful. I highly recommend Mabeco and Simao and will be happy to return to Mozambique!

Joined an one-day tour from Maputo in Mozambique to Hlane Royal National Park in Eswatini (formerly known as Swaziland).

For tours crossing an African border, chances of getting hassles by immigration alike could exist. With the excellent arrangements and proper documentations by Simão, the tour was smooth enough. Simão, as the guide/driver, ensured a safe drive across the gorgeous landscape of Southern Mozambique. He was also knowledgable and knows English, Portuguese (official language of Mozambique) and the local language in Eswatini, eliminating all potential problems. He has a nice character who takes care of his guests much by heart and perfectly accommodates their needs.

The highlight of this tour was, of course, seeing rhinos! The ranger offered us a chance to walk a bit to somewhere within metres of these endangered animals. The ranger was, on the other hand, very experienced that he didn’t disturb and draw the attention of the rhinos, whilst ensuring our safety all the time. How impressive! We were also lucky enough to see lions, elephants, baboons, giraffes, etc., let alone various beautiful birds, during the safari. This was such an unforgettable experience!

Besides the safari, Simão also introduced me the culture and local issues of Mozambique and Eswatini. Learnt a lot in only one day!

Dear Leeyikki, Wow, this is such a positive and comprehensive review of our work. We are so happy that you enjoyed the tour to Eswatini. Indeed, seeing rhinos is such a great and impressive thing to do these days: let's keep working in trying to save these amazing, peaceful and important animals. We wish you all the best along your travels and hope you can return one day to explore the hundreds of fantastic areas Mozambique and neighboring Countries offer. From Mabeco Tours Team (Simão as well :)) Kind Regards

We went on the overnight safari with Pedro in the special reserve in September and we had THE MOST AMAZING TIME! Everything was thought of, there was nothing that I would have done differently. Pedro and his team were incredible, booking was easy, emails were prompt and we were picked up on time from our hotel. Breakfast was provided on route to the reserve and we arrived at 8.30am. We saw almost every animal it was possible to see and even saw elephants mating so we felt incredibly lucky!! Pedro knew exactly where to look and how far away to be. We felt so safe and so happy in this untouched truly natural reserve. Gin and tonic at sunset, a delicious lunch and dinner, camping in the most incredible location. We couldn't quite believe where we were or what we were experiencing. I honestly cannot recommend this enough, it is a trip we will never forget! After the days in the reserve, we organised to go to Maceneta beach for 2 nights. Again, incredible. We had a lovely relaxed time and it was so nice to know that our transport there and back and the organisation of it all was sorted. Such a nice place to spend a couple of days. Yes, it seems like a lot of money but it was worth every single penny. Pedro was so knowledgable, accommodating and friendly and I will be recommending Mabeco Tours to everyone. Thank you again, we had THE BEST time!! Rebecca & Matthew

A well-organised trip to Maputo Special reserve, with a book of bird species for the novices amongst us who do not have their own. Binoculars were also provided. Lunch was generous and there were plenty of drinks and snacks for the journey.

In a nutshell it really doesn't matter how much I write here, as I don't think it's going to be possible to express just how superb this outfit and owner are!
The story goes like this:
I sent a very last minute email enquiry regarding a ten day tour of Mozambique, Swaziland and South Africa.to around twenty tour operators.
Around half of them didn't even bother to reply, obviously not prepared to expend he energy required for such last-minute planning.
A couple of the others did reply, only to tell me that my enquiry had come in too late for them to be able to put a tour together for me.
Others sent me hurriedly-put-together itineraries that hadn't taken into account any of the interests which I had so carefully detailed.
One even sent me a response indicating that I wasn't rich enough for their blood!
And so on and so on!
It was obvious however that Antonio of Mabeco Tours had *carefully read my whole email, *taken special note of all the information therein regarding my preferences, *and then spent endless hours and energy putting together an absolutely fine itinerary - which he then sent it to me within 24 hours of having received my enquiry.
In it he also offered alternative options regarding tour content and price, and his ensuing communications were speedy, professional yet friendly, and confidently reassuring.
The tour he put together for me was far from straightforward, as I wanted to do so much in so little time, but his planning took into account every tiny detail, including all transfers etc., and it's fair to say that his logistics were nothing short of masterful!
Antonio and his wife Anna were my guides, protectors, providers and entertainers for the first five days of my tour - by the end of which we had become firm friends.
Nothing was too much trouble, and it was clear that they would stop at nothing to ensure that I was 100% satisfied.
The accommodations and meals that they had included in the whole tour were top notch, and during the safari trips I discovered that Antonio's knowledge and understanding of Africa's wildlife was immense. And if birding is your thing you will find a passionate soul-mate in him!
The second half of my tour meant, regretfully, leaving Antonio and Anna behind, as I would be spending those last five days in Vilankulos and on Bazaruto Island - both miles and miles from Maputo.
Despite the immense distances involved Antonio's arrangements were flawless. He was in constant contact with the hoteliers and excursion providers involved, making sure that nothing was left to chance. He also kept me updated by email throughout.
When I finally arrived back in Maputo to catch my flight for the next stage of my holiday both Antonio and Anna were there to meet me with big hugs.
So in conclusion, if you are looking to travel to South-East Africa, and you need a 100% trustworthy, reliable, professionally run, and friendly outfit to make your arrangements for you, look no further than Mabeco Tours.

If you are looking for a more relaxed 'safari' tour this is for you. This is a wonderful two day tour through Maputo's Special Reserve with lots of down time to relax and enjoy the beach. And what a beach!! We had a great time with Pedro and Ernesto and will do it again when family arrives for vacation.

I cannot stress enough that everyone should do this trip with Mabeco Tours. This untouched wild park truly is a magical place. From the moment we were picked up to the moment we were dropped off we didn’t lift a finger. Pedro was an excellent guide. You can tell he loves his job and the reserve. He made us feel special. As an added bonus while relaxing at the campsite on the beach, humpback whales started breaching right in front of us. It was already a perfect trip but this made it extra special. My only regret is that we didn’t book the 3 day tour. If we are ever in Maputo again we will definitely book with Mabeco.
