Amazing landscapes, the scenario is magnificent. All rangers are very friendly and always willing to assist. It’s a plus that one has now tarred road all the way up to the main gate (except if coming from Kosy Bay/Ponta do Ouro). Once inside the park...More

Nice park with fantastic landscapes. Not that many animals but the rangers told me that they are making a plan to bring in more animals. The population of animals suffered a lot during the civil war that took 16 years and many animals were killed...More

Take your time to drive through the reserve, bar the Elephants you should also see a range of birds. The reserve is in very good condition and makes for a nice day out.

Over the many years visiting Mozambique it really is special to note that changes in the MSR are constantly positive where better care is given to preserve the beauty and natural environment; assistance is given for wildlife to flourish with restocking programs and protection; and...More

It's a long drive +-3-4 Hours, but worth it. We didn't see elephants, lots of monkeys, buffalo and giraffe. There's no signs - so difficult when you don't have Tracks4Africa. The sand is thick, but we didn't have any difficulty and didn't get stuck. Scenery...More

We were with a group of 5 and we loved it. We had accomodation at an eco-lodge and I will definitely go back there everytime I'm in Mozambique. I won't write much more about this hidden paradise....

Please note you must have a 4x4 to get to Milibangala. The roads are tarred in South Africa to the border post at Kosi Bay, from there it's all sand roads, or heavily eroded, possibly civil war damaged formerly tar roads. Watch where the locals...More

This is a special reserve. It might not be for long, so get here before it changes! I can't say it's unspoilt nature, because it was all spoiled by decades of civil war. But now that it has been rehabilitated, those years of trauma now...More

The Maputo Special Reserve is raising from ashes! Animal re-introduction is being very successful and vigorous anti-poaching activities has seen a major decrease of poaching in recent years. The fencing is almost complete and now with the improved road from Maputo, access to the reserve...More

I do not know the answer to this. I believe you can but you should check with park officials and be aware the rules change.
