Adrien is an excellent tour guide! We were a group of 6 and Adrien effortlessly switched between English and French so we could all get the same level of information and opportunities to ask questions. The tour is conducted on foot within Port Louis. We passed by several points of interest to learn about the history of the city, and stopped at a range of eateries which all also had some historical context. There’s no way we would have found many of these places ourselves or appreciated the history behind the family-run businesses. This was a great food tour which weaved the story of Port Louis through the different types of food we tried from vendors who are part of how the city has developed.

Dada & Adrien offered us a new perspective of Port-Louis and Mauritius street food. We learnt many things this day, and ate extraordinary mauritian specialities that are truly made with passion. We recommand to start your tour with an empty stomach and to eat at your capacity! And of course... to enjoy it as much because it is a unique experience!

Our family of four (2 parents 2 kids) did the Taste Buddies Port Louis tour. It was exceptional. Adrien is knowledgable and kind. The food was delicious, and it was a perfect way to experience a behind-the-tourist-facade view of the city. I would do it again in a heartbeat!

unfortunately, the experience was not good from our point of view.
The guide was indeed aware of hygiene which was nice, as he provided us with water and wet wipes.
Other than that, it was disappointing.
The guide walked super fast, leaving the group behind. The information we received during the trip was superficial, without explaining the basics of the connection between the different cultures and their food. Also, most of the food stops were no than ok, nothing super tasty or unique.
Hard to say that but definitely this tour need MANY improvements and is way too expensive for its current value.

We had a great experience today! Roaming around the city and tasting authentic on-the-go or seated food. The walk and the river boat tour have been enriched by historical, cultural, religious, linguistic and botanic insights. The guide was bilingual (French and English) and extremely welcoming and friendly. Absolutely recommended!

Even though we had very rainy weather our guides did their best to make the tour fun and interesting. The tasting stops were diverse and tasty - streetfood as well as good restaurants. Do not eat breakfast before :)

We have been fortunate to do 3 tours with Taste Buddies (Port louis, Mahebourg and Grand Baie) and each time they have been simply fantastic!! Not only are all 3 tours unique in their offerings, but having now sampled close on 20 (or more) different options of food from street vendors to up market restaurants I feel I know Mauritius so much better!! Literally each and every experience is unique! taking a walk with either Adrian or Dada is like stepping back in history. Not only they both highly knowledgeable , but they are very entertaining and an afternoon with them is something you will never regret!
whenever we are asked what to do in Mauritius Taste buddies is always mentioned in our first sentence. These guys have an amazing recipe and you wont be disappointed!

Thanks Adrian and Dada for an amazing tour around Port Louis and all kinds of typical Mauritian street food places. Hidden gems we would never have found (and tasted) ourselves. Easy to book online, perfect meeting spot (next to a big parking lot) and drinks included :-) Next to the great food also a lot of information about the history of Mauritius.

The tour was very informative as we also learned about the history of Mauritius and st Louis. The food was incredibly tasty -Ruddy our guide was fantastic and made the tour fun and engaging.

Adrien is an excellent tour guide with great communication skills and historical/cultural knowledge of both Port Louis & Grand Baie. The food was different on both tours as he really likes to make each tour a unique experience. Plenty of tantalising food and sights to visit on these tours. The historical information was fascinating.
