The World War Memorial is set in the same compound as a statue of Hastings Kamuzu Banda. There are some staff who can give one a tour, which is largely just a climb up the inside of the tower. There is no fee, but a...More

This World war 1 memorial which is located next to Kumuzu Banda statue ( The first President of Malawi) is the best viewing point of the city lookout. From high up, you could see the Parliament, the Stadium and bits and pieces of the city.

The War memorial tower is modern and of little interest, except for the view from the top. Greedy guides bore you with stories, and demand tip afterwards, so try to avoid them.
