The tour of this animal rehab. place was worthwhile. The tour guide knows his facts & speaks clearly. I thought the amount of animals I saw was sufficient. Lots of monkeys, that interesting python, and the two babes along with us on the tour. Really - reading the bios of these animals is tear-wrenching. How can folks be so cruel?... More

There were not alot of animals to see because they release many back into the wild when they have been rehabilitated. It was good to leaencourage that there is a place where the animal welfare is priority over making them a zoo spectacle. The sanctuary is a lovely quiet retreat amongst the bustling city. Lots of monkeys have free reign... More

The nature sanctuary is a great getaway in town for both adults and kids; checking out animals and surroundings but also a nice place for a lunch or dinner as a family group where the possibility for the children to play around.

There is hardly anything to see and the place is very run down and so unkept. The animals are few and far between. Accommodation is very basic here with nothing special. Food was not all that either.

Right in Lilongwe (which is vague since Lilongwe is so spread out) is nestled this wildlife sanctuary, play area and restaurant. Wounded animals are prepared for return to nature in most cases. This is a good place to prepare for a more extensive safari. The trails are easy, the animals are clearly identified. You can get up close. The animals... More

It is a good park but it would be better if it was possible to see how the animals are treated and how is the day-to-day management of the park.

This nature sanctuary is undoubtedly doing a good job restoring wounded animals and birds to the wild. It is not the most amazing tourist attraction you will ever visit (and it is relatively costly for foreigners). But the visit is worth it for understanding how animals can be restored to the wild. The hourly guided tour gives a good overview... More

The Lilongwe Nature Sanctuary is a great place to take a nice walk through the woods and see some birdlife. We had a guide from the sanctuary accompany us on the walk (the trails are not well marked) and he was very informative. It was an enjoyable way to spend the morning, although might be "boring" for some people looking... More
