I'm conficted about this; I found the park very interesting, the animals were fascinating, and frankly like nothing I'll see elsewhere. That being said, some of the conditions for the animals were not great, which always pains me. Seeing the crocodiles up close (very close!)...More

Nothing much to see. Skip the restaurant.. Poor service in general Had some lemurs too... Would not be on my prime list in Madagascar, even though its understandable that anyone might be interested out of curiosity.

Situated at 22km from the town of Antananrivo. At 5-hectare nature reserve Lemurs’ Park, you can observe nine species of lemur including the vulnerable lesser bamboo lemur and the endangered crowned sifaka. These charismatic primates are free-roaming, and can be seen at amazingly close quarters...More

We had a nice relaxing walk through the croc farm. It is very well maintained and seeing the lemurs running around free was a real treat. The little gift shop had a variety of locally-made items to purchase. The croc farm is so much more...More

We spent a couple of hours here earlier today.....and we saw SO many crocs. Our visit coincided with feeding time, so we saw them in serious action. Our guide was especially helpful and informative....and was essential for spotting the chameleons. Don't let the bumpy road...More

I am still un sure exactly how I feel about this place. I have given it a 4 taking into account this is Tana. There are a lot of positives e.g the guides, the grounds, the unexpected bird life, the maintenance of the paths, the...More

The grounds were exquisite, which was a surprise. It was more like a small zoo, with toucans, turtles, chameleons, etc. The crocodile viewing was great and there were many of them. They advertise that you can get a croc burger but they didn't have any...More

A couple hours is good. It is interesting. There are a lot of crocodiles and you can see them quite well. It takes quite a while to get in and out because it is a dirt road not suitable for a taxi so they go very slowly... More

Malaria Risk - Again! (13 Replies)
Sorry for yet another post on this topic but we are looking for some help and advice with regard to Malaria in South Africa. We are from the UK and are traveling to the SA in November 2007. We have been to see our local GP, have researched on the internet have read up on various travel forums but we are still getting conflicting information as to if we need to take Malaria tablets and in which areas we need to take the medication in. This is now getting very worrying as we travel in...More

The only place on your itinerary which is a malaria risk area is Sabi Sands in Kruger the rest definately are not. I would recommend you take anti-malarials there, either malarone or doxycycline. I can't help with advice regarding the pregnant lady, that really must be advice from your GP.

Things to do in Djerba, help appreciated! (2 Replies)
Hi, I'm starting to plan our family holiday for summer 2015. We want to go to Tunisia, will be me, hubby and our 4 kids. I'm all about peace and quiet on holiday (life is hectic enough at home) so busy resorts are not what we look for which is why I am leaning towards Djerba, from the info I have gathered online it seems quieter and the beaches look lovely but I'm also wondering what else there is to do. Croc farm looks good, and the art village. I would really love to go to a...More
