WAU, especially Faliana is excellent. She provided the instant response and put us at ease when traveling to this unfamiliar land. Having been able to communicate with her thru Whatsapp is great. Our flight was cancelled and when we have to make constant changes, Faliana was there to help us and make numerous changes. In my opinion, it doesn't matter whether you work with a well-known or big company. What matters is that you received instant assistance and responses when you need them and deliver them. Thank you for making our Madagascar trip memorable.

This company is fantastic, great communication, really flexible, really thoughtful. I honestly couldn’t recommend them more. The tour that we did was out of this world and I would love to come back for more. Friendly staff who really care about their clients needs.

Madagascar is a vast island with lots of diversity. We had 3 weeks to see as much as we could, taking in a river trip, Tsingy, the west coast, Isalo and the rain forest. Faliana booked us a fantastic trip, not for the faint hearted, but we (group of 8) loved the trip that was put together for us! 4 x 4s through rivers, dongas, sand and mud were great fun and altogether a great adventure. Thank you WAU, and also our fantastic guide Claudia.

Unforgettable 14 days and 13 nights! From the beginning of the E-mail communication, to the journey completed and we back to Taiwan, WAU provided promptly, steady, reliable service.

We are a group of thirteen from Hong Kong. Visited Madagascar on Sept 23 to Sept 30, 2018. During these eight days, WAU took us travel from the east of the Island, Andasibe to the west, Morondava, Kirindy and our most expected site - Tsingy de Bemaraha. No need to read through tons of books or articles before the trip but simply write to WAU and they'll arrange all the accommodation, transportation for you.

Special thanks to the local guide Ny Ando and Sariaka. Both of them speak fluent English. They are cheerful person, knowledgeable and considerate, you'll have a great trip to travel with them.

In Madagascar, you can meet the unique creature - lemurs in the wild. Or in case you would like to take a selfie with them, WAU could help and show you the way. Also, you can find the stunning Baobab trees and breath taking view in Tsingy. You'll like Madagascar if you like nature life.

We were a party of 8 and had requested an adventurous trip in Madagascar which WAU organized for us. We had a terrific time which was as a result of WAU’s attention to detail and our wonderful local guide Claudia. She met us at the airport guiding us through the necessity of changing our Euros for Aryary at the airport before going to our hotel in Antananarivo – the first of many early starts (very diplomatically achieved by Claudia!) and we were off! – 3 day boat trip down the river Tsiribihani with overnight camps on sand spits, great food on board - but you have to stock up on beers/wine beforehand! – included a wonderful evening of dancing by and with local children! – a trip to Tsingy followed (so beautiful but challenging) and then down to the coast including an eco-hotel and a 3 night stopover (very welcome!) – most hotels were comfortable and clean with only a couple being of a lower standard (lack of alternatives!) – travelling was by 4-wheel drive and the various drivers were very friendly and competent – there were quite a few all-day drives so the lack of ground game and birds compared to mainland Africa was apparent also sadly the island is being deforested at an alarming rate – however the mighty Baobabs are still standing! – other visits organized for us included aluminium smelting, sapphire mining, snorkeling/canoeing on the coast, paper making, a trip to the rain forest, visiting local villages and of course the shopping!! We had a couple of nights in ‘Tana’ at the end which enabled us to see the local Lemur reserve and explore a little of this colourful capital. Thank you Faliana at WAU and Claudia (you are a star!), we had a great trip and the memories keep coming back - Jem & Jane

I contacted this agency because a friend of mine used them a year ago and highly recommended. We did a 14-day trip with them and were fully happy with our experience and the service we received. The email communication was very fast, friendly and helpful; they proposed a number of programs and then I wanted to insert two additional activities - a cruise on Tsiribinha river and some beach time at Belo-sur-Mer and both requests were accommodated and the program was customized based on our preferences.
Our driver David was a very good / safe driver, spoke good English and even played piano :). We did not have a separate guide, so David told us some facts about the country and then in each park there is a different local guide that goes with you.
Our logistics was not very easy but worked without a single problem. For example, while we were on the beach in Belo sur Mer, our driver drove for 3 days to Tulear and picked us up there when we flew there few days later. This saved us some grilling road time and made trip more enjoyable and relaxing.
Our highlights were .... almost everything :). Seriously, river cruise and Tsingi; baobab alley; Belo sur Mer; Isalo NP; the hotel which we had on our last night in Tana with gorgeous view of the city...
All hotels on the trip were very good quality. I was also worried that we may be too rushed but it did not feel like it; we had ample time to enjoy and to visit all parks.
Madagascar is very beautiful, diverse and truly unique. Can only highly recommend to visit and WAU is a great company to go with.

Without WAU Madagascar I'm not sure if we could have had such great weeks in Madagascar. We had high hopes about our trip to Madagascar, and came back home feeling that our hopes and dreams had been fulfilled.
WAU was really professional and had everything set up for us from the moment we landed at the airport in Antananarivo. From the very first moment we set foot on Mada soil we felt welcome and taken care of.
So many great things happend, and I personally had some of the greatest experiences of my life during this trip.
First up was the capital, Antananarivo. The city centre was both charming and rough at the same time. There was several highlights here:
- The architecture tells you a story about a city that used to be of high status.
- Get up on top of the hills and enjoy a drink with a great view of the city.
- My first encounter with the ever so cool lemur's was at the fantastic Antananarivo Lemur's park.
After a few days we left the city and set our course towards Ampefy. The mood was set when we got to our hotel just before sunset and could enjoy a quiet time at the hotel restaurant down by a private lake and watch the sun set behind the mountains in the horizon. Two main highlights here:
- The awesome geysir's and the strange colours. You really won't believe how cool this place is until you see it for yourself :)
- Les Chutes de la Lily is not anywhere near the biggest waterfall I've been at, but it was just so nice to walk around the area and visit the local village. And of course, the water fall was also nice.
After Ampefy we went back to Tana to catch our plane that would bring us to a true paradise, Nosy Be!
Nosy Be was our "hub" for the last week or so, and as a Norwegian who just suffered through a long and cold winter, this was just what I needed.
The house at Nosy Be was great and we had everything that we needed, inlcluding a swimming pool! Some days we just relaxed in the sun by the pool, and other days we visited different beaches on Nosy Be, but the true highlights was the excurions to the nearby islands:
- On Norway's national day we went to Nosy Tanikely for a great lunch on the beach, followed by what must be the greates snorkling in history. The coral reefs in this area is home to a lot of great creatures, including sea turtles, baracudas and fish in every thinkable colours.
- Look up the ratings of the world's greatest beaches online, and one of them will most likely be Nosy Iranja. This island with clear blue water is the closest thing I've gotten to fantasy in real life. The sun was shining, the water was completely clear blue and perfectly tempered, and we didn't have to share it more than maybe 50 others. And what was even more amazing: While we was there we went to the neighbour island (which you can actually walk to if you want), and with our own eyes witnessed new born sea turtles run towards the sea!
If I am to pick out the biggest highlights I must say that snorkling with sea turtles at Nosy Tanikely and watching new born sea turtles at Nosy Iranja was the greatest ones.
If you decide to visit Madagascar don't forget your camera. There's something to take a picture of everywhere. You will most likely visit places where you should have comfortable walking, and I recommend that you are prepared for both tropical temperatures with flip-flops and shorts, and jeans and a light jacket for colder night in the mountains.
I stayed here for just a few days short of three weeks, and would say you need at least two weeks when coming here.
And I must say thank you to WAU Madagascar who made this such a memorable holiday. I can highly recommend them to anyone who wants to visit Madagascar!

Hope you will enjoy Madagascar as much as we did.
