Offering days tours of Nima in central Accra & longer trips in Ghana....

Offering days tours of Nima in central Accra & longer trips in Ghana. Acknowledged fixer for Ghana to assist organisations with projects; including educational groups for awards such as DoE (Duke of Edinburgh award).

Nima is one of the most impoverished areas in Accra, Ghana. Even though Nima routinely suffers from inadequate provisions of basic facilities, housing, water pipes, electricity, and drainage systems, the community continues to grow. Large number of migrant workers from rural Ghana & neighbouring countries find their way into Nima and make it their home. The beauty about Nima is visible and appreciated in the cultural & religious diversity of the community. Nima is a prime example that people of numerous nationalities can actually co-exist in peace. Experience this and much more in a walking tour lasting two hours! Your Tour Guide was born here & has lived in Nima ever since, experiencing life as a Ghanaian in this impoverished corner of central Accra. It will amaze & enrich you to witness life in Nima.

There is so much to learn giving you a wonderful few hours experience of this 'unknown' area of Accra- contact us for a memorable few hours or let us show you the 'real' Ghana from family connections in the Volta region to slave castles in the Central & Western regions; Kente cloth from Ashanti & elephant tracking in the north!

We have so much to offer and cater for all ranges of budgets!

We had a wonderful tour with Charles getting to know Nima and also visiting Jamestown and other sights in Accra. Charles is very knowledgeable and welcoming. He wants to provide people with an organic and authentic experience of the community and through Charles we definitely gained a perspective that we would not have on our own. He also catered our... I went on a tour with Michael. It was a great opportunity to get to see Nima - its different neighborhoods and some compounds as well as the market. Michael grew up here and knows a lot about the history and development of Nima. It would not have been possible to visit Nima without this tour. Very interesting and I... More

I met Hamza at the Nima roundabout at 10 o´clock on a Tuesday morning and he kindly showed me around Nima for two hours straight. He took me around and showed me the market, the school, the architecture, the meeting spots and he told me about the history of the place and kindly and patiently answered all my questions, which... Charles met us at the hotel and then took us on an excellent tour of the standard sites such as the Cape Coast Castle and Elmina Castle. The highlight was his walking tour of Nima- a chance to really experience Africa.

Enjoyed the tour of Nima. You get to see the houses, the local school, the markets. This would not be possible without the Nima tour and it's invaluable experience. Price for the tour is also very reasonable. Highly recommended. However reviews are for honest opinions, so here goes: Please be aware that they don't have their own car so they... More

Thank you very much for the review Hanna! It is unfortunately the situation, around Accra local taxis are used which don't have air-conditioning and can be unpleasant when the city traffic becomes difficult. As you probably discovered, Nima Tours started without any capital but as it has grown the financial focus is to buy a decent vehicle to transport guests... More

I think the Nima walking tour is a must for everyone coming to Accra. Charles is happy to share his knowledge about everyday life in Nima or Ghana for that matter. He is a responsible guy, who knows how to handle situations and also a pleasant person to have around. I took him also as a guide for a whole... More

Given the opportunity I like to see a range of lifestyles while traveling and so set up a tour of Nima. Charles was wonderful. Knowledgeable and engaging, his tour was interesting and provided insight into his district and some of the struggles involved in life in Nima. I felt safe and secure throughout and appreciated our interactions with his friends... More

Our guide, Charles, was really great in showing us around Accra, Cape Coast, Elmina and the Kakum National Park. He has a lot of knowledge about the history and society in Ghana. Whereever we went, people knew him :) We felt very safe travelling with him and his driver.

We got to see many of the places in Nima. Our guide had a lot of local history that he told us along the way of the tour. Nima was a very interesting place to see.
