I went to this beach during the day on a Monday and it was not crowded at all (which is what I was hoping for). My expectation was to enjoy a quiet day at the beach; read a book, have a drink, eat some local food...You do have to pay 5 cedis for entry. As soon as you walk in, there are people trying to sell things. Someone offered me a table by the water, with beach umbrella. You do have to purchase food/drink from them in exchange. Not sure if that is true or just a hustle to get money out of tourist. The whole thing is a tourist trap. There are too many people trying to sell things and it can become annoying. The food was decent. Didn't get a chance to have a drink because I cut my visit short. The aggressive and annoying sellers basically ruined by beach day. I am not sure why this is such a popular tourist attraction. Maybe it is better at night.

We went to the beach to relax and have some time for ourself, so that's a illusion. When you are white you need to pay more entrance fee, then when u are at the beach they follow you everywhere, with horses most of the time. But also to get you in to there restaurant, we walked a lot and found a place where it was not so overloaded with people, but even there people are gonna sit next to you and talk.

Interesting place to bond with a loved one, pleasure sight seeing and cool tents to relax. You have an opportunity to make new friends and their foods and drinks are reasonably priced. Overall, a lovely place to be.

We went on a Friday morning. It wasn't overly crowed. You have to swim in a relatively small area between some flags, but there was plenty of room on this weekday morning. There are people trying to sell crafts to you, but they took a polite no for an answer. I was here 33 years ago, and the beach certainly doesn't appear to be any worse than it was there. There are lots of places you can go to get a drink or something to eat. Foreigners pay 20 cedis each for admittance.

Dear Labadi , Labadi my love , my second home . I am traveling a lot for business , from one country to another country , from one hotel to another hotel . Long stays out if my country & home (France). I thank ALL Labadi staff for this beautiful and exceptional welcome . I am coming in Accra since a couple of years and my unique hotel & destination is Labadi . Under no circumstance I would change my hotel in spite of all multiple proposal I receive from competitors Accra hotel . Labadi is unique . You know why ? Here you found a family, a unique atmosphere, the staff is great , you are not only a customer but a real guest . They care about you . The TOP management is exceptional with the staff . As a consequence the staff is happy , “ shinning “ , care about the Labadi’s guests . I do not feel in an hotel but as home . Thanks you Labadi staff and Labadi Executive management. You change my life . I cannot encourage you more to select Labadi rather than all those boring hotels . Madame K.

Costed 15C per person to get in and park the car. (Saturday afternoon)
Worst is the start when the sellers hunt you but once you found a spot to sit in between the tables it is better.
Unfortunately the beach is rather dirty with plastics etc and there are way to many stalls and and whole beach is covered by tables and chairs.
Try sitting a row in and you will get a little less of the harassment from vendors etc. A large beer and 2 cola costed 29Cedi which is ok i guess.
A bit of extra attention on us as we were white of course but what to expect.
Ok spot to hang and relax if you are not intimidated by these things.

The Beach is a nice place to be, We had lot of fun though and there were a lot of people out there enjoying the music and the Sea breeze as well. It was late so we didn't swim but we saw people swim and it was amazing. We wouldn't hesitate to visit anytime soon.

Very nice and comfortable hotel. Staff is friendly and helpful. Service sometimes could be a little quicker but I didn’t mind. The place starts to look a little tired in some places but the overall feeling is still very good. Fully recommend!

Sadly, Labadi beach has deteriorated over the years. We've been coming to Ghana since the 90s and the beach used to be clean and pleasant with a relaxed vibe. Over the past 8 or so years, it has steadily been going downhill. On our trip in December 2023, we decided to go for old times sakes and hoping since lockdown things would have improved. Sadly, no. I didn't dare go into the water as there was plastic, empty toothpaste tubes, bottles and even condoms strewn over the beach.
I don't know what the entrance fee of 20GHC is for. It's such a shame that it's being mismanaged. Accra has a lovely coast line but there's no thought of preserving its beauty or creating aspace that is enjoyable, Shame

If you are in the area have a look. You have to pay £1_ £4depeding on day. If you leave beach and go back later the same day have to pay again. Guys on the gate are quite rude. Few bars and restaurants but nothing special

It's not worth it. The beach is filthy. A shame as it used to be so clean. I don't know why there is an entrance fee as I don't see any signs of it being used to maintain the beach.

been told there is a naturist beach \t labadi anyone know whether true
Written June 18, 2018
Am sorry there is no naturist beach at labadi beach. Guys are in their shorts and ladies in the bikini or other swimming gear. But I have never seen people naked there before. Thanks
Written June 18, 2018
There are plenty of stalls upon entrance to the beach to buy swimwear.

In general, is Accra worth spending any time in? I' thinking of taking a 7 day tour in Ghana but don't know whether to build in an extra day or two on either end to see Accra.
Thanks in advance.
