Addis Ababa is a large, vibrant and bustling city that is certainly worth a more in-depth guided tour, especially if you have little time to know the main attractions.

We did the half day tour with Go Addis, and our guide Mulugeta brilliantly led our group of 6 people.  We didn't even see the time go by.

It was an immersion in the culture not only of the city but of the country as a whole, as we had a class about Addis Ababa as well as Ethiopia. The tour with Go Addis is certainly worth the investment of time and money!

My wife and I arranged a 1/2 day tour with Go Addis Tours the day before we arrived in Addis. They were quick to write back and arrange the tour with only 12 hours notice. Mulugeta was our assigned guide and he was absolutely fantastic. We learned so much from him about Addis and Ethiopia. He had a tremendous amount of historical and cultural information to provide. As well he knew his way around the city, tailoring the tour to our preferences. He even extended the 1/2 day into a tour that lasted from 9:30 - 4:30 - which was really unexpected and greatly appreciated!

I'd recommend Go Addis Tours, and especially a tour with Mulugeta!

Thanks for the awesome memories and experience!

My husband and I had a long layover in Addis Ababa and we decided to organize a private tour with Go Addis. We are so glad we did. We were picked up and dropped off at the airport. Our guide Mulugeta and driver Emush were excellent. They took as to all the sites we wanted, providing a lot of history, information and stopping for photos when we wanted. It was a great way to see the city. All the reservation process with Xavi and his team was so smooth and they were extremely responsive to all my questions and COVID concerns.
I would recommend this agency!

My husband and I recently completed a four-day trip with GoAddis to the Simien mountains that included two nights at Limalimo Lodge and three days' walking, plus half a day tour of the Palaces at Gonder. Exceptional service throughout, with the team constantly communicating via a What'sApp group, and smooth and professional transitions throughout. Lovely, knowledgeable guides and good company. Not cheap but good value for all the excellent memories laid down...

Throughout, Go Addis were helpful, well informed, patient, professional and speedy. Frankly, we changed our plans more than once and Go Addis responded without delay. The result was an utterly memorable visit to some unique sites - Gondar, Lalibella, and Addis itself. Punctual, efficient flights, smooth transfers, wonderful guides. The landscapes are unforgettable, the people generous and welcoming. Ethiopia lingers in the eyes, the heart, the mind. GO Addis made it possible. we will never forget it or them. Thank you.

I spent a full day private Addis tour with Mr. Desalegn (Dessie). After a little rocky road before the tour starts (which cause from limited internet access and I didn't get the email my nice tour guide sent the night earlier when I'm on my flight from DC to here), I manage to get on a toyota sedan which carry me around Addis today.

Dessie is a local Ethiopian guide with good English and very fun knowledgeable about his country. I enjoyed the proud of long elegance history of Ethiopia glistening from his eyes all the time he talks about history back in time.

After my first cup of coffee and coconut cake, I went to the market where all the core Ethiopians' cuisine ingredients, spices, and herb were sold. They also had green coffee bean where local bought and roasted to drink in their househod. You learn the local through their gut, right?

Second visit is the holy trinity church, where the faith of the country are. From outside, it might look like another orthodox church but inside you can feel the faith of the old testament passing from Arc of Noah! Whoa!

After the church visit, I had a lookout visit. Too bad that it's cloudy today so I didn't see far but the weather is really nice and you see Addis as a whole after a little bit climb. Nice view!

After lookout climibng, my gut is rumbling for some food! lol. Dessie take me to a nice lunch place where Doro wot and beef tib (speeling?!?) calling for our attention. The food is really nice and I'm so full.

Afternoon coffee with Madam Lucy is my next visit. Personally, I would like to see Lucy for so long since the movie 'Lucy' came out. The national museum of Ethiopia took you back through time where human species evolved around this region (over 3-5 million years ago... well not that long right!). Lucy is tinier than I imagined though. (Same impression as 'Mona Lisa'). If museum can manage to attract the young generation more, it can attract million tourists a year.

Wine tasting is also a fun part of my travel. Raft valley produces a decent lot of wine here and I can feel how rich of the soil here on the tip of my tongue.

This not even cover the walking food tasting tour.... which is also amazing. My stomach is fillled with vegan Ethiopian cuisine, fried tilapia, fresh fruit juice, coffee and beef.

In sum, forget what your impression about Ethiopia was. Book Go Addis Tours and see yourself all of this.

One day is not enough for me. So I think my next destination is absolutely be Afffffricamecrazy!!!

I did the city tour followed up with the food tour! For each I was blown away! The guide on the city tour was so fun and knowledgeable. I believe his name was Desalegn. I highly recommend him. For the food tour, Galet was our guide and she was the most incredible food guide ive ever had. I have no doubt any guide is phenomenal. This company knows exactly whats doing and does it well.

The guide was great, however..... This was my second food tour with Go Addis. I signed up for a second because I thoroughly enjoyed my first food tour. When completing a booking, you are asked to comment on any limitations / dietary restrictions. I confirmed that I was vegetarian. Upon arrival for the tour, I was told that the tour guide was not informed about my restriction because she only 'gets the number of people on the tours from the owners.' Well, the stops scheduled included one beef restaurant that serves nothing else and one fish restaurant. The tour guide tried to accommodate me at the fish restaurant and found ONE dish that I could eat. The beef restaurant had NO options for me. Ethiopia has tons of vegetarian options, shame I couldn't eat any of them. So, $60 for 1.5 stops of 3 is quite a lot of money. The poor communication between the owners and the tour guide severely affected my experience.

The food walk they've conducted was just outstanding. So many people are not aware of the rich food culture of Ethiopia. The guide was super knowledgeable about the different foods and the restaurants and the neighborhood plus the entire country. The variety given is just perfect, setting a caleidoscope from coffee over juices and beers to fish, raw meet and the more traditional dishes plus a brief market visit. This country has so much to offer and this food tour is a superb introduction, definitely a must and at start of a country visit. I did food tours in HKG, India and Peru, but this one clearly was the most interesting one!
