We took a taxi from our hotel here. The journey up the hill was slow due to the elevation but it gave us a good chance to look at everything on the way. We were amazed by the number of eucalyptus trees growing. At the...More
Worth A Visit, very nice views of the city of Addis Ababa. I would recommend going with a very good driver due to the roads and the steep climb.
The church is always closed, there is a musty museum which is not very interesting and the former palace of Menelik II is moderately interesting. The place is infested with beggars, there are more interesting places in and around Addis to visit. Not recommended.
You must visit this museum and church which is on top of the hill. Once on top you will get a great view of the city.
I go here as soon as I arrive in Addis Ababa. It is an amazing view. The church is beautiful. The people are super friendly.

Great tour guide, considered by most Ethiopians a very Holy place and thus you should be mindful of this when going. Wonderful setting, beautiful architecture which is quite different to most churches in Ethiopia
