We were lucky in travelling at a time with few tourists but had a fantastic time. The company was well organised and very honest. We had good information on the trip and what was expected. Our driver/guide was the perfect balance between giving us interesting information but at the same time allowing us to explore and ask questiions that interested us. The visits to traditional tribes were senstively done and visits were playful and fun. While we were in Addis the company took good care of us. Gasaw was very professional and attentive to our needs. He took us to a very traditional coffee shop which we woud never have found on our own . The traditional dinner dancing and singing was truely memoral.

This had always been on my list of things to do - visit the Mursi and Hamer tribes. We were very excited to see the new way of life from the cultures of the Omo Valley. Gashaw was also super helpful and quick to respond and come up with an itinerary that fit our schedule, on short notice. I hope to do the full itinerary one day, driving from Addis through Hawassa and Arab Minch.

The group is very professional and looks into every detail of the requests and choices of the traveller. Somehow I was alone travelling on the day and the tour still went ahead. The tour was organized by Mr. Gashaw and I was accompanied by a guide (Mr. Asamenew) and a driver (Mr. Melaku). The guide was very professional and had a good knowledge of historical and cultural background of the sites we were visiting. The driver was someone you can trust (I left my bag with my passport and cash in the mini van and it was absolutely secure). They did a detour during the trip to handle one of the sites that was not in the plan and also an afternoon stopover at a post office to buy some local stamps. The highlight of the trip was the stopover for lunch at Taly Coffee (close to St. Georges Cathedral) where both the boys took me for traditional Ethiopian coffee and a round of lunch (Injera with Shiro and Teleba). This is a traditional vegetarian meal and is a must try. The fascinating about this meal is that you are supposed to have it in a huge one plate with your group. I had a great time sharing the meal in one plate with Mr. Asamenew and Mr. Melaku. The coffee was absolutely awesome. The office of the organization was also regularly following up with the guide during the day trip to make sure everything was going alright. All in all I had a memorable day in Addis Ababa and look forward to coming back for more travels in Ethiopia with them.
