We came up here to the new national park with a tour guide. Make sure to have your ID ready with you as they require it to enter the park. You walk down a hill and get to see all of the city of Addis Ababa before you. They also have the famous Ethiopia sign where you can stand in the middle and form the letter, T with your body to take the quintessential photo, if you don’t bring your own camera, there are lots of photographers around who will take your picture and print it for you for a small fee. There are a few cafés, we stopped for lunch and had a nice bite to eat on the way out of the mountain, I got to see a couple of monkeys along, the hillside, which was a lovely treat

I love Entoto Park so much, I usually come here just for exercising and to get a coffee while enjoying the fresh air, and view of the incredible forest. But I was deeply saddened today, by the amount of entrance fee they started charging, it is so unreasonable, 1000 birr for foreigners and 200 birr for locals, and the bill receipt isn't even legalized. I think this should be reconsidered, considering the distance it is located from the center of Addis Ababa.

Fantastic day, ended with a traditional coffee ceremony atop Entoto Park. Great views of the whole city below you, quiet and very sparse crowds. Appreciated the historical information on coffee, and the delicate serving.

Very refined event.

The park's architecture is beautiful. The view of the city is beautiful. In the other hand if you are of old age or unable to walk long distances, I suggest you don't visit the park entirely. There is no source of transportation provided and so you have to walk all 6 kilometers to see the park in it's entirety. Oh and you will also have to walk back to your vehicle with is 12 kilometers in total. I suggest you bring a bike or any sort of small transportation.
What concerns me the most is their pricing. You will need to bring a lot of cash with you because everything there is overpriced yet none of the ATMs work!
If you are a tourist, a diaspora or even speak fluently in a different language, chances are you will be paying twice as much for their services as most of the employees will take advantage of you.

Park is approximately 45 to 60 minutes from the city on a mountain where there are many cafes and restaurants, and the views and nature are stunning. Inside the park you have to walk long distance between ups and downs is not suitable for the elderly people. The park is clean, safe and a place to enjoy nature.

Though we have visited Entoto Park many times previously and thoroughly enjoyed it, today our experience was unlike other visits. One new member to our group of 6 forgot her ID. After realizing our plea to let us vouch for her and let us in was in vain, we started walking back to our cars. At that point one of the gate guards followed us across the road and physically grabbed one of our group (young woman) on the arm - seemingly in an effort to keep her from returning to our car. He claimed she had disrespected him. We had to pry his hands off her arm to leave. It was very upsetting...to say the least.

NOT SAFE! BE CARFUL!
Entoto park is not what we expected. When you enter the main park, the amusement center is on the other side and you’ve to walk lots of miles to get to the amusement center. The nature is beautiful.
The exit through the amusement park (not the main entrance ) is not safe. If you are taking “Ride”, the blue cab drivers will attack you and the “ride” car by stone and there is no security to protect you. Please be safe! They chased our kids and us by big stone just simply by not taking their blue cab. We will never go back again.

I liked this place because there're great view of the city, good nature and almost no beggars. There're a lot of interesting things along the road: tent hotel, acceptable cafes, some playgrounds. It's one of the few places i liked in Addis Ababa.

Consist of several spots and lovely tracks for walking and cycling and activities like zipline and carting. I recommended to have bicycle if you can't walk all the 11 Km.
