I came across East Africa Tour Operator by pure chance while looking for ca. 10 day tour of the northern highlights of Ethiopia at fairly short notice. After we made contact on the phone, a very friendly gentleman called Beki came to my hotel to discuss the tour, and the entire trip was organised within about a day!
I was able to see the incredible old churches of Lalibela with my excellent guide (and now friend) Ermias, a man whose pride and passion about the history of his home region was contagious. I then travelled to Gondar and the Simian Mountain National Park where my guide (and now friend) Simanyew and an entire team of chefs, porters and guards took care of my every need, always with huge smiles on their faces. The last leg of my trip was in Bahir Dar and the Blue Nile Falls/Lake Tana guided by Tila, another warm and very knowledgeable man.
The trip included all flights, transfers, meals and local guides, and everything was slick and well-organised, with very good hotel and restaurant choices.
I can't recommend the East Africa Tour Operator team enough if you're planning a trip to Ethiopia. And there's definitely no one else I'll get in touch with the next time I visit this absolutely stunning country!
