About Ethio Cycling Adventures
Ethiopia is an exceptional country for bicycle tours. The climate is pleasant; the landscape varies from green rolling hills to dramatic mountains with impressive views…. But one of the greatest charms of Ethiopia are its friendly people and many small settlements of some scattered huts with playing children and cattle around them. What better way to experience all of this on 2 wheels!

Had a wonderful day cycling with Chewy around the outskirts of Addis Ababa. The 45 kilometer route was perfect for casual riders who enjoy seeing the sights on two wheels. Chewy was absolutely fantastic. He was extremely knowledgeable and an excellent cyclist. He was very patient and friendly. Just great to be around. If needed, Chewy can arrange a bicycle and helmet for a small additional fee. Am looking forward to the next ride - perhaps a multi-day group ride with Chewy a few colleagues.

We headed out for a long weekend of cycling in the direct vicinity of Addis. Me and a group of friends had asked Chewy to come with a fun and challenging itinerary which he happily did. During the trip we got to know Chewy as a fun and happy guy, who really enjoys his time during the trip as well. He is easy to talk to, and a great host. Always on time, ready before all others, and always having his third eye on the well-being of the group, whether it's road safety, or someone in dire need of a mid day snack. I'm definitely recommending going on a trip with him, it's great fun and really shows you Ethiopia from a unique perspective!

Soo, I have never left a trip advisor review (my first here), meaning to say: our trip was so memorable that i wish many more others will be able to enjoy it too. we cycled from woliso down to langano in 3 days and each day had its very own unique and beautiful feel to the landscape, people, cycling experience, weather, and elevation. chewy, our super guide and prob ethiopia’s best dressed cyclist, and getch, our faithful driver and savior, were the best companions we could have hoped for. helpful, kind, friendly, and lots of fun.mountain bikes worked well, accommodations were great, food was very satisfying - a beautiful tour.

I went on a trip with Chewy on Saturday and it was the highlight of my trip here in Addis Ababa! I opted for Trip B and it was most definitely worth every penny and much more. As a review for those curious about the level of fitness it requires, I'm a relatively fit person that runs and hits the gym 3-4 days a week, and this program was just right, but you might want to wear a pair of cycling pants (which I did not!) I got to cycle through traffic, climb steep hills (which I managed even though I'm more of a downhill person), see amazing views (along with a hyenas den), and enjoyed riding down fun single track routes. Chewy is a pleasure to ride with and I whole heartedly recommend him to anyone interested in getting outdoors to see a different side of Addis Ababa.
