We spent almost 3 weeks driving around Northern Ethiopia in an ETT 4WD. The manager in Addis, Bisrat was great to deal with & arranged us what we needed & wanted. Our driver Zelalem Beza was fantastic. I cannot rate him highly enough. Polite, engaging,...More

I went with ETT to Erta Ale and Dallol. It was an awful trip. They take all day to get to the camp very slowly. Once you arrive there they wait until dark to serve the food, you then get about 15 minutes to eat...More

I travelled with ETT to the Danakil Depression and Erta Ale. The DD was extraordinary. EA was a wonderful workout of 9 kilometers up and 9 kilometers down, but we were unable to view anything but smoke. Evidently, seeing anything has been difficult since the...More

We hired a 4*4 vehicle from ETT for a 3 week trip around the East & Northern Ethiopia. We were supplied with a reliable and comfortable Toyota Landcruiser and a great driver, Zelalem Beza, who was effectively our guide and made our trip so much...More

Spent a wonderful 2-week trip in the north and south of Ethiopia with ETT. I made to see everything I wanted, only because I bought an Ethiopian sim card. You really need one if you want to get your connecting flights, know what time a...More

We traveled with ETT for 21 days. Well organised ‘meet and transfer’ system, but poorly organised in the central office. Cars generally in good condition with very good drivers (with one exception) but most of the guides had a poor command of English. The best...More

We visited Addis, Harar, Bahir Dar, Gonder, Axum, Mekele, Danakil, Lalibela, Arbaminch and Turmi. ETT were the fastest agency to respond to our planning request, they listened carefully to our wishes and were flexible when we changed our plans due to weather. The drivers were...More

Hello, about 3 hours and this is enough, if you want you can be there for a little bit longer. Don’t forget it is very hot place! But also also very interesting. The whole experience is amazing.
This Casie Martin wrote on TA After reading reviews in places I was surprised at how false those were. ETT was amazingly run!! I had originally planned to go with worldsun Ethipoia travel and they cancelled the day before. I emailed ETT and they organized everything perfectly and for a great price too. I landed into Mekele airport and they were awaiting for my arrival and took me to their office to meet the others for the tour. There were 21 of us in total and 4 of us inside a Jeep (comfortable with air con) also or driver. My driver Wondmagegn was INCREDIBLE!!!! The tour I went on was 3 days and 2 night Danakil depression. It was more than what I expected. I had heard that the food was average but it was actually great! I advise you to take some snacks for in between. I was glad I did! Sleeping is basic and exactly what they state. Take your own sleeping bag or a liner. On the trip we visited the salt miners (Afar people) and after reading forums I decided to take donations with me such as sunglasses, eye drops, gloves for the men. Also stickers, toys and stationary for the children along the way. Others on the tour said they wish they had known to bring donations as I was the only one so please consider this! A huge thank you for all the drivers and guides and also the ladies in the office. Everyone was so so sweet, kind and helpful!
