Our family was impressed by the sights at the Miradouro da Lua. The landscape is beautiful and offers a start appreciation of how sharply Angola descends to the sea. Some caution: the site is beautiful but when we visited there was no water. It may have changed since January 2023. Still, it's worth the visit and the time to see the incredible "Melting Lands" and catch a great snap in the site's picture frame.

This place is seriously unreal! Felt like we were on the moon. It's really easy to miss when you're driving though so make sure to have it mapped out if you're using GPS.

I like coming here to relax since it has beautiful views. I won't go on and repeat what other people have mentioned so here it is. There is no sign of any kind when you get there. It is 66kms from downtown Luanda and 12.7kms from the Kwansa River. You will be able to see the side as you are coming up on it but if you miss it, just turn back around. If there are Angolans on site, don't bring kids. Angolans use the restroom on plain sight and don't care to show the world how they do it. Beautiful place but the road is caved in and very fragile and dangerous. LOTS OF TRASH like the rest of Luanda. No trash bins/cans and DEF no maintenance. So sad!

In the midst of baobab trees and a plain highway, you find this overlook onto what looks like a moonscape. It’s lovely but dangerous. You can tell some pieces have fallen over and you see new cracks forming. Be very aware.

Miradouro da Lua is a mandatory stop! 15 min is more than enough from my point of view but don't miss it because it is really worth it! Amazing view!!!!! What a natural beauty!!! So overwhelming!!! Loved it!!! However don't go to close to the edge it is not safe.

You'll enjoy a beautiful landscape of south Luanda beaches, with some interesting geological features.

As other reviews have said, this place is absolutely beautiful, but that's all it is. The mile or so of land stretching out to the sea was once covered by the sea itself, hence the extremely strange and undulating rocks as far to the left and right as the eye can see. The closest thing like it that I can think of is the Painted Desert in Arizona.
There's nothing to do, there's no walkway down to walk among the rocks, there isn't even a guy in a hut selling Cuca. But I like that, it keeps the place peaceful and limits the amount of litter lying around. We all know that if there were a guy in a hut selling Cuca, his litter collection policy would be non-existent. So enjoy the peace and enjoy the beauty, and bring your own water.

Surreal place. if there was an ocean in the moon, the scenery would be like this... A 'must go'! On the way to Cabo Ledo, from Luanda.
