My wife and I did the 7-day Machame route with Stanley Sunday and his team. We had an amazing experience and a major part of it is thanks to him! First of all Stanley offers a more affordable price for budget travelers. And the great thing is, that even for the lower price the service is just as good. The... More

We were a team of 4 women and 4 men that make a total of 8 from various countries aiming to reach the summit of Mt.Kilimanjaro. We are not experienced hikers yet we made it to the roof of Africa due to the great service and support of Jiwe Adventures team. It was an experience of lifetime and we had... More

Babu (Menas Mwinga) and his team is a very experience group of guide who knows all the problem you may face in trekking the Kilimanjaro. Really appreciate every night's briefing where he and his team will ensure that you know what to expect for the next day's trek and be mentally prepared. I was really afraid that i may not... More

It takes 6 days of trekking (85 km) but it is really worth doing it. I wouldn't say it is dangerous, but it is very demanding. Very demanding. So, If you are not an experienced trekker, think twice before doing it. I saw many people giving up before reaching the summit. Other than that, it is a Lifetime Experience.

A good friend of mine climbed Kili using Barafu Tours last year and raved about her experience, so my friend and I decided to use them for our recent climb. Chance and his team of expert guides (huge shoutout to Imran, Muhammed, and Rafael) and the rest of the amazing staff really exceeded any and all expectations we had for... More

5 days Machame route was amazing! We came after acclimatization on mount Kenya, so it was easier. First 3 days were pole-pole (slowly slowly), and the last day was the summit day. Started walking at midnight, and made it to the summit a few minuets before 6, just to see all the colors before the sunrise! It was a very... More

We did the 7 day Machame route trek, the food was great all the way up, Kelvin was so nice and helpful and everything ran smoothly. We were really well fed going up and down the mountain, the sleeping bags we... More

Used Barafu Tours & Safaris for my recent (11/19/16) climb up Kilimanjaro, and my expectations and mind were blown by the excellent service provided by the Barafu family. Our guides (Shoutout to Imran, Mohammed, and Rafael) were patient, knowledgeable, and easy to hang with. Our food was restaurant-quality (Chef Abbus) and served by Pray, our thoughtful waiter. The climb was... More
