My 2 friends and I booked the just concluded Kilimanjaro trek with Mboni Adventures and it was an incredibly fantastic experience. Our crew consisted of 10 porters and 1 cook, led by Frank the senior guide and Joseph his assistant. They were friendly, jovial and good people to be with. They did everything to keep us safe and comfortable during the trek. The trek started of slowly with the guides setting a comfortable pace, teaching us about the mountain. Every morning brought us to different habitats as we got higher up the mountain. Frank was very particular with our health and safety. He checked our vitals every morning and evening. I had been struck by his attention to details back at the hotel when he was checking our gear against the mountain checklist. I was amazed by how strong the porters were, they carried heavy loads on their heads and always beat us to the next campsite, where we would find that they had already set up camp and started on the meals. We were provided with excellent tents, sleeping mats and bags. I was happy to wake up to hot coffee, warm water to clean up followed by a hearty breakfast. Siza our cook was outstanding. He cooked us great food in the tough mountain surroundings. I have nothing but respect and appreciation to everyone at Mboni Adventures for their excellent service and support to our successful Kilimanjaro conquest.

Ungitours is well organized and they will do everything to get you to the sumit , healthy check with genine camping gears all this are very crucial to success climb, the whole team were very professional Dickson and his crew went above and beyond to accommodate our needs, food was consistently delicious everyday , booking with Faiza Mwanga the owner was so easy and payment process as well. Where do I start? I’m not very experienced hiker and I summited Mt Kili 10 days ago with the best possible guides and porters ever! It is a dream two years in the making and preparing, and now accomplished all thanks to the local Nafika Tours. My friend and I opted for the 7 day Lemosho route, Elias was on top of everything from an organisation perspective right from our initial enquiry able to advise on the most suitable routes and whether we would be best with a 7 or 8 day hike. He was a pleasure to deal with. Our guides were extremely knowledgeable, answering any questions we had, showing us everything on the trails, and even taking us to some hidden spots that I noticed other hikers missed out on. They paid close attention to each hiker making sure they were comfortable and healthy. The porters are the superheroes of the whole trip, carrying everything you need in less time. They were all extremely kind and friendly, and made you smile whenever you saw them. You could tell that the Nafika Tours crew has an amazing community built on respect. What drew me in to Nafika Tours was the one of a kind experience you get on the mountain. We had the best tents from all the different groups I saw. The tents were roomy, warm, and comfortable; honestly I slept better on the mountain than I did at home. The mess hall tent and bathroom tent were an added bonus for comfort and community. I loved having many of the campsites to ourselves as well. THE FOOD is literally the best more than I expected. The best food on the mountain. Everything is hand made and cooked in front of you. There are some amazing surprises waiting for you as you get higher up the mountain. I loved going into the kitchen tent to get warm, watch the men work, and get to know the Nafika Tours family better. I highly recommend taking Nafika Tours. You get to have best experiences and local friendships other groups do not have, make amazing friends. The whole experience makes me want to go and live in Tanzania. Anyone looking for an incredible, life long experience, just put your trip in the hands of Nafika Tours and you won’t have any misgivings

Our head guide Jonas made sure him and the team did everything possible to ensure we had the best possible experience and reached the summit. I cannot recommend this whole team enough. Our tents were up before we arrived at the next camp as well as the dining tent so we could have a warm drink and snack. Everyone is so happy .The precision that goes into what they do is incredible and their whole focus is on you achieving your goal of the summit and getting down to celebrate.An experience you will never forget after the Kilimanjaro climb we went on 4 days safari,everything went as planned. We did 6 days trek with Ungitours in Lemosho route our Guides were unbelievable , the whole team were incredible the trek was amazing with really delicious food cooked by Amiri , booking with Faiza was smooth , the tent, private toilet were good and gas light was yet another beautiful detail that increased tent temperature at night . Dickson the head guide checked our healthy every morning and evening we felt very safe and well taken care of , the whole crew were very helpful & professional. We needed to support a female owned business that gives back to the community . Highly recommended

Our group of 6 climbed the Kilimanjaro with the Nafika Tours this year 2023 and it was just a completely positive experience. From the communication upfront to the actual hike, the entire Nafika Tours team has been very helpful. Special shout out to Jonson and his crew of guides & porters without whom we definitely wouldn't have made it to the summit! From setting the pace (pole, pole), to continuously measuring our health to literally singing us up the final part of the Summit. Why Nafika Tours? The hiking / climbing schedule each day and period of acclimatization provided the best chance of summit success. I routinely go back and look over the many pictures and remember the great dedication every member of the Nafika Tours team provided every day. I cannot remember how many times I provided "trip to Kilimanjaro' slide shows to family, friends and work, . I think of guides, porters, cooks, and Nafika staff often, and I would be remiss if not heaping praise upon the many porters who did the hard work every day. I can say their work was an integral part in my success. The people of Tanzania impressed me as much as Mount Kilimanjaro. Our food made by our chef was always good and he also accommodated each of our needs as they arose, the camping equipment where excellent. my wife and i did a 3 day safari followed by 7 day lemosho route with Tanzania Escapade.We had the most amazing week .Everything started well and ended the same,Our guides Saul patrick mboma madam jackline mvungi the The leader saul was very friendly and the best. The whole crew provided excellent support to help us summit. We did alot of research and found very good positive reviews and decide to go with Tanzania escapade(+255 652 790 680) Very clean facilities. We will never forget this beautiful experience.

We went with Mboni adventure on the Machame route. It was absolutely amazing. The service,advice and help we got was above any expectations. The guide and the crew did everything they to make us feel good and safe. The food and the gear were excellent. We really enjoyed the trip to the summit of kilimanjaro.

Located in Tanzania, Mount Kilimanjaro is Africa’s tallest mountain at about 5,895 meters (19,340 feet). It is the largest free-standing mountain rise in the world, meaning it is not part of a mountain range. Also called a stratovolcano (a term for a huge volcano made of ash, lava, and rock), Kilimanjaro comprises three cones: Kibo, Mawenzi, and Shira. Kibo is the summit of the mountain and the tallest of the three volcanic formations. While Mawenzi and Shira are extinct, Kibo is dormant and could possibly erupt again. Scientists estimate that the last time it erupted was 360,000 years ago. The highest point on Kibo’s crater rim is called Uhuru, the Swahili word for “freedom.” The mountain is also known for its snow-capped peak; however, scientists warn that the snow might disappear within the next 20 years or so. You can trek throughout the year but the best time is during the dry season Mid-December to the end of March and June to the end of October, the recommended length to trek is at least 7 days.
