I booked this trip with Ayaz in January 2020 for travel in Sept 2020 but COVID happened. I didnt cancel because Ayaz had put in a lot of work with the bookings (3 countries) and I trusted him. This is my second time to engage the services of waterbuck safaris and I was very pleased with my Tanzania trip so I got in touch with Ayaz to help me out. I was travelling alone and thinking of great adventures for this trip- masai, gorillas in rwanda and uganda. Ayaz made sure that everything would be safe and comfortable for me. He picked the right agencies in Kenya, Rwanda and Uganda- kind, nice and well-informed guides and booking me in really nice hotels and lodges. I also heard that he would personally call the guides/drivers and ask them how I was doing. I am so happy with the trip. Worth the very long wait. Again, thank you very much Ayaz for being patient and super chill with my concerns (all last-minute). Til my next trip to my fave Africa. 🥰

First time in Tanzania for a safari, J4 (our guide) had really a good knowledge of african wild life, always punctual and nice. All accommodations were according to the description, really cleaned, the staff and food were great! (Especially Selous Jimba). We highly recommend Waterbuck Safari agency.

We started planning our vacation to Tanzania in Mid-February and I initially contacted Waterbucks for my safari trip. Gulzar was very detailed in providing us the information and I must say her service was impeccable. She was always responsive to our requests in a timely manner. I was unable to proceed with her for the safari due to reason beyond my control. Despite of this, she helped book out flights and hotel in Zanzibar which I felt was extremely nice of her. I highly recommend contact Gulzar at Waterbuck for your future holidays in Tanzania

Marvellous Mikumi !!! Our trip to Mikumi was Exceptional and Amazing !!!!!!!! We visited Zanzibar and Dar-es-salaam with our daughter and Granddaughter. For a graduation gift for my granddaughter, since there was not enough time for a longer visit to Ngorongo or any other national park, we chose a shorter visit to Mikumi – and we were not disappointed. We were able to see all of the animals we had hoped to see - Giraffes, Zebras, Hippos, Crocodiles, and Lions (in the distance). Gulzar, from Waterbucks, was very good with information, tips and in contact even after our trip is over … just like family We were picked up from our Hotel in a safari vehicle (with the top opening) at 7 am. The driver- J4, was outstanding. He was professional and informative, very interactive and showed us around Mikumi. The drive to the park is long, but what you see along the way is incredible – lots of villages, people, fruit stalls, etc … that is why it takes long to get to Mikumi because the speed for majority of the distance is only 50 …. So be prepared with Snacks …. Lot of cold water available in the car, provided courtesy of Waterbucks …. Thanks to Waterbucks for that consideration We stopped for a Buffet lunch – be warned that cost of drinks is not included in the cost of your safari (as mentioned in the Brochure) … the juices in this restaurant are not very good either. We arrived in Mikumi by 3 pm and drove around until 6 pm …. Jay also had binoculars for us to view from the opened top … Thanks Jay !!! We chose Vuma Hills Tented Camp … Sleeping in the tents at camp was an awesome experience. The dinner at night was delicious and what an almosphere. They even made us ‘Tangawizi’ (ginger tea) … perfect for the cool evening Although no electricity after 10.30 pm … there are flashlights in all cabins to facilitate moving around the cabin. The hot water for your shower comes from the Solar panel near your cabin. Drive around Mikumi after Breakfast and arrived back at our hotel at 8 pm. Packed lunch included veg sandwich and cake and drinks which we ate in the car. Please splurge for a night at Vuma Hills Tented Camp … Definately worth it. I highly recommend this trip – especially with the care and attention to detail by Gulzar of Waterbucks safari.
