My family and I used Waterbucks for a 4-day safari adventure through Lake Manyara, Serengeti, and Ngorongoro Crater and it was amazing! Our tour guide made us feel extremely comfortable and safe right from the start and was always teaching us about the wildlife we saw. He constantly was on the lookout for animals and did his absolute best to ensure we saw as much as possible daily. Because we traveled at the tail-end of the rainy season, the roads were a little treacherous however, our guide was extremely skilled at navigating the bumpy roads. I would highly recommend Waterbucks Safari as the company to keep in mind when planning your safari adventure as you will be guaranteed a memorable trip.
Gulzar also helped my family organize the rest of our trip to Dar es Salaam and Zanzibar. All her recommendations were right on the mark. We had just the right amount of days at each location and with accommodations in ideal areas. She also provided us with a lot of helpful tips to prepare for the trip which put us at ease to travel to this part of the world. If you use Gulzar's services you can be sure that you will have a great vacation as she really listens to her clients and helps them organize a trip that is just right for them.

This was going to be a once in a lifetime safari vacation to Africa. Two families traveled with four adult children. We had roots in Tanzania but have not visited in over 45 years. We travel extensively and dealt with various tour operators over the years. Waterbuck safaris definitely ranks amongst the best we have seen.We made a trip over the week of Christmas 2019.
Gulzar helped us plan a vacation of a lifetime. Within seven days, we wanted to see Zanzibar, Arusha, Serengeti, Lake Manyara, Ngorongoro crater and Mwansa. Other travel agents we talked to cautioned us that this would be an impossible trip in such a short time. But Gulzar made it happen.
All the resorts we stayed at provided impeccable service and her recommendations were spot on. Gulzar was extremely attentive to our itinerary and reached out to us every single day by text or phone to make sure arrangements were adequate.
For the Safari, she assigned Matthew and Rashid, two highly experienced guides and naturalists. They were both extremely competent, kind and attentive to our needs. There was not a bird that could not identify or animal they could not find. The three days safari was the most memorable for all eight of us.
We traveled in two Toyota land cruisers - one with the the four young adults and the other with four parents. Both Matthew and Rashid made sure that every need was met. We reached all our destinations on time and saw innumerable birds and animals in the three days. When there was an exciting hunt by the lions, both drivers made an effort to position us in the best possible vantage for unforgettable photographs.
They were both by our side during our entire adventure in the bush. They made us feel safe and treated us better than family. We cannot say enough good things about Waterbuck safaris.

We had a great time with Waterbuck Safaris during our 6 day Safari tour. The communication before was easy and even though we booked our Safari very spontaneously Ayaz was available for us every time. He even gave us a call during the safari to make sure that we are feeling comfortable.
With Ridhwan we had a fantastic guide who showed us every animal we wanted to see, who knew a lot about the culture and the animals of his country and had an answer to all of our questions.
He was a very good driver and we really felt save during the whole tour.
We can highly recommend Waterbuck Safaris as tour Operator for any great tour experiences in Tansania.

We planned our entire study abroad experience in Tanzania for 11 people at Moravian University (in Pennsylvania, US) with Waterbuck Safaris. Shafina was amazing to work with throughout the entire process, which spanned several months before the actual 17 day trip in Dec. 22 and Jan. 23. She provided numerous options that were within our budget, was patient with all our requests and extremely courteous in all interaction. From the moment we arrived in Tanzania to the time we left, every arrangement, hotels, activities, tours, guides were perfect. Our itinerary included arriving in Moshi, climbing Kilimanjaro, then a 3 day safari, followed by a few days in Dar es Salaam and a week in Zanzibar. At no point in the trip did we feel that anything was missing - every aspect of the trip far exceeded our expectations. Shafina also checked in daily to inquire about our experience and provided additional suggestions for expanding our visit experiences. I am in awe of her work and effort and am truly thankful to her for making the study abroad experience for my students and me truly successful and memorable. For all my future travels to East Africa, I am only going to turn to Shafina and Waterbuck Safaris and strongly recommend their services.

We started planning our vacation to Tanzania in Mid-February and I initially contacted Waterbucks for my safari trip. Gulzar was very detailed in providing us the information and I must say her service was impeccable. She was always responsive to our requests in a timely manner. I was unable to proceed with her for the safari due to reason beyond my control. Despite of this, she helped book out flights and hotel in Zanzibar which I felt was extremely nice of her.

Worked Ayaz to book a 5 day safari trip in Tanzania. He was organized, prompt, and informative when navigating the plethora of questions and concerns about embarking on an African safari. The truck was 2016, so a newer model, which was comfortable and well stocked with water. The driver was informative, professional, and considerate. The overall process is streamlined with Waterbuck taking care of the logistics. Compared other travel agencies and Waterbuck provides good value for price.

Excellent trip with the best driver of the bush. More than expected. Real immersion in the bush, we saw giraffe, elephant, hippo, lions, zebras and many others. The Zarafa tented camp was a nice and comfortable place to stay. Unpredictable events has been well managed by J4 (the driver) although a truck stuck on the track and the dar es salaam traffic, we were on time for the ferry. Thanks also to shafina for the organisation and her involvement in any circonstance. Dinner, lunch and breakfast were very good ! Safari boat was amazing as the walking safari. J4’s fauna and flora knowledge was very appreciated. The family enjoyed everything. Thanks!

We were a big group with 7 adults and 1 child visiting Tanzania and Zanzibar. Gulzar looked after our enquiry from inception all the way through delivery and still checks up on us after flying home.
It is clear that a lot of planning went into making this trip for us and we were really happy with the entire experience.
Tanzania is a lovely country to visit; the people are so kind and the food is surprisingly good!
We visited Lake Manyara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater. The parks are huge and the animals are so beautiful.
My most talked-about story is when we saw a lioness chase away 2 cheetahs right infront of us!
Part 2 of our holiday was in Zanzibar where we enjoyed a tour and finished it off with a few days on the beach at our leisure.
Highly recommend Tanzania and Zanzibar as places to visit. Highly recommend Waterbuck Safaris and Gulzar to sort out every detail.

First time in Tanzania for a safari, J4 (our guide) had really a good knowledge of african wild life, always punctual and nice. All accommodations were according to the description, really cleaned, the staff and food were great! (Especially Selous Jimba). We highly recommend Waterbuck Safari agency.

We really enjoyed our incredible 5 days safari in Seregeti, Lake Manyara and Ngorongoro crater with Waterbuck Safaris.
Everything was well organized and Gulzar was helpful from the begining when she booked for us comfortable various lodge. She stayed in contact with us during our trip to make sure we enjoy the experience and are satisfied.
We had such a good time and our guide and driver, Hamisi was very patient and informative, sharing a lot of knowledge about environment and animals and he knew how to get us as close to the animals as possible. He did his best for us to see the big 5, multiple times.
We highly recommend Waterbuck Safaris and we would definitely choose them for our next safari!
