Even though a marketed point of interest, I wouldn't say that there is something much to be seen. The cap itself is a simple one, while the views at Hercules caves and the beaches nearby are much more impressive.

Cap Spartel is on the northwestern tip of Africa, a lovely picturesque place where a 150 year old lighthouse in perfect condition stands to warn ships travelling too close to shore. The legend says that it is the point where the Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean...More

We sat on the wall and enjoyed the breeze and view. There were other things to do such as a restaurant, a little shopping, and adorable donkeys, but we didn't take advantage of all that.

Very nice photo spot ... but just a 5 minute photo stop is enough. There are many street vendors around.

My husband and I were in Tangier for two nights. We headed out here with a grand Taxi from the Medina. It was about a 20 minutes drive. This is where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Mediterranean Sea. The views here are gorgeous, and there...More

Nice scenary just close to the city through the forests of Tangier city. Has many local restaurants and cafés with moderate quality food and choices. Diffenitly with the view you need to have the moroccan green tea (Atai). Plan a breakfast or lunch there but...More

It’s impressive but it’s not that amazing. The local is just a sight but the trip by the ocean is indeed impressive and makes it worth it going all the way there.

This was the highlight of the trip. Though under renovation the place was still a gorgeous sight. The wind was so powerful there the railings were bent, so hold on to your hats and scarves. Breath taking and powerful at the same time, a must...More

Worth a 10 minute stop if it is on your way but don't make a trip specifically here. The lighthouse was under renovation and complete fenced off when we visited in early July, but we did get a good picture of from afar. Our tour...More

The area offers some cafés and restaurants, and the view is very nice over the atlantic, but in general it feels very touristy here and if you are here for only a day it can be nice. But don't expect much to happen here.

Assuming your leaving from Tangiers I would say that it takes approximately 1/2 hour to 45 minutes to get to Cap Spartel in a Mercedes cab. We made an afternoon trip of it leaving just after lunch and headed initially to... More
