Hicham gave us a wonderful local tour of Tangier - would highly recommend!!
We had a private tour with Hicham around the Medina of Tangier. We saw all the fantastic reviews about Hicham and contacted him before our trip (his number is +212 698-381339). Organising with him was very easy. On the day of our tour, Hicham collected us in a taxi from our AirBnB and we drove around a few sites like Cap Spartel, before driving into the city. He took as round the Medina and inside the Kasbah. We saw the local markets, mosques and synagogues. The highlight of the tour was the amazing traditional restaurant he took us to for lunch - it was much better than the expensive tourist traps! This was a real local experience and it felt like we really got to know this wonderful city. I would definitely avoid the usual tourist tours and give Hicham a call - a truly fantastic experience! Make sure you wear comfortable shoes as there is lots of walking!

    Fun and Fact filled
So happy we decided to contact Hisham, we really felt like we saw so much more of Tangier than if we had tried to see it for ourselves. He knew all the best places, was very informative and funny! We saw the Kasbah, Medina, the markets, all finished with a delicious traditional Moroccan lunch. The next day he took us to the Cap Spartel Lighthouse, Caves of Hercules and then down the coast to Asilah, the expanse of beach and the beautiful coastline were amazing. We met some camels and could have had a ride but we decided against it. Asilah was pretty with beautiful Artwork painted on the walls and wonderful passageways and mosques. We really enjoyed our time in Tangiers and Hisham’s tour ensured we really saw everything.

    Nabil is the best
I have used a tour guide in 9 different countries. I have never experienced the level of service that Nabil and his team provided. Everything was taken care of. We were picked up from the port. We were driven around in a private car to our selves. Nabil stayed with us all day and gave us lots of wonderful recommendations from shopping to food to sight seeing. He also made sure we got plenty of pictures. I have sent many friends to Nabil and they all have gained a friend for life. To use Nabils service's you can reach him on whatsapp at +212 700 704 644 or email at nabilzailachi@yahoo.com

    A perfect day in Tangier
The Kasbah of Tangier is a fascinating place and my guide Hicham (WhatsApp +212611359090) knew all of the history and kept me well informed as we walked all around. The views and small streets are so beautiful with plants and flowers. I had a great day, learnt so much about this ancient city and got tips on places to visit and eat the next day on my own which was cool. I will visit again someday and keep in touch with Hicham as he is very funny! He also owns a little cosy art shop where you can hang out, have tea and read, it's called Mama Africa inside of the medina The Kasbah is very safe to walk around even at night with a lot of street light and people around of all ages I'm very happy to be here and find great food to eat everyday.

    Hicham, the Perfect Guide!
We stayed at the Palais Zahia Hotel & Spa in the Medina- perfectly located and an absolutely beautiful riad built in 1906. Along with our booking we were given a tour of the Medina & Kasbah which was excellent. Our tour guide, Hicham is perhaps the best in Tangier, for his knowledge & great sense of humor- a winning combination. Everything was done at our own pace. We only requested a 2 hour tour which is enough to see the Medina & Kasbah, unless of course you want to shop! My thanks to the hotel and to Hicham for a lovely stay. In case you need a great guide, his contact info is:+212 698 381 1339

Hicham - an authentic & honest guide.
Hicham was a brilliant guide, he is a very informative and honest tour guide. The tour was very authentic and it felt like an old friend guiding us around the city, rather than the typical tour guide. I recommend Hicham to any solo traveler or group that want to know the real history of Tangier and have an authentic, safe experience here. You can reach him at +212 698-381339.

Incredible tour with a kind and passionate guide - well worth the price!
We were absolutely enamored with our tour of Tangier and surrounding landmarks. Our guide Hicham (contact him on WhatsApp at 212611359090) was extremely passionate about his hometown and made us feel safe and welcome at all times. He's well loved by fellow locals (he said hi to about 50 friends as we walked around the Medina) and knowledgeable about every aspect of the city. He met right near our accomodation before picking up another couple, then we were off to Cap Spartel where we stopped at 3 different stunning viewpoints. Next we stopped at Achakkar beach and rode camels along the beach at sunset (incredible timing!) then visited Hercules Caves where Hicham paid for our entry (locals pay less than tourists). Then we headed back to the city where Hicham took us on an in-depth tour of the Kasbah and surrounding Medina. Hicham happily offered to take pictures of my partner and I, and was patient when we wanted to stop at shops or to take our own pictures. He expertly answered all of our questions and gave us a ton of information. He walked at the perfect pace for us to follow while taking in the sights and after our tour we felt 10x more comfortable navigating the neighborhood on our own. We ended our night at a traditional Moroccan restaurant where we ate to our heart's desire then Hicham lead us back to our accomodations. We happened to run into him the following day on his day off and he graciously lead us to a bakery he had mentioned the day before that we wanted to try. I can't say enough good things about Hicham and the tour we had with him! 100% recommend to anyone wanting the full Tangier experience!

A walk around the Medina is a must and very enjoyable in the evening. With the pandemic, tourists are rare so we did get frequently approached but most of it was good natured. We bought a tea pot, decorative tajines and a couple of sweatshirts all at a good price,
The views at night are great and remember to stop off for a mint tea!!

We booked a wonderful day with Nabil Sayed and his company ( Tangier Customized Private Tour ) to the Ancient Medina of Tangier. The Medina in Tangier is a maze of blue and white buildings with beautiful doors with hobnails and trident hardware to ward off evil. It has a wonderful market place with all kinds of offerings from dried nuts & fruits to butchered ram head ready to cook. The fruits and vegetables are beautiful and fresh and the meats and fishes freshly cut and filleted. Venders are hawking everything from clothing to shoes and pocketbooks made from soft goatskin leather.

It was so nice to stroll through the medina. There is so much to see there. You can see the restaurant from the Jason Bourne movie and also see the place where he jumped from building to another building. A real beautiful area. The people all know you are a stranger there but they leave you alone.

Here I drop only for seeing Gibraltar and connection border of Atlantic and Mediterranean is nearly 2 hour far from the city. Madinah (old city center) of Tangier is small one compare to other cities of Morocco. Day trip would be enough to see all city attractions.

Wandering along the narrow alleys of the Old Town you will find elegant design shops as well as locals living their lives behind the brightly painted doors of the white houses. Women sit on the ground surrounded by spices and vegetables brought fresh from the countryside in the morning. Carpets are hung on display outside on the walls and antique shops are full of treasures, you decide whether the shopkeepers tales are true.
