Good for a stroll but expect to get a bit of hassle
Nov 2020 • Business
A walk around the Medina is a must and very enjoyable in the evening. With the pandemic, tourists are rare so we did get frequently approached but most of it was good natured. We bought a tea pot, decorative tajines and a couple of sweatshirts all at a good price,
The views at night are great and remember to stop off for a mint tea!!

Very beautiful
Feb 2020
It was so nice to stroll through the medina. There is so much to see there. You can see the restaurant from the Jason Bourne movie and also see the place where he jumped from building to another building. A real beautiful area. The people all know you are a stranger there but they leave you alone.

Worth a visit
Mar 2020
For around 5 Euro you can get a lad to help you walk round, once your taxi has got you up the one way streets, we were looking for specific restaurant which we found, alas no wine available, food was commercial and poor and expensive...

Good Market
Aug 2019
There is an active market where just about anything is available. The itinerant peddlers are more aggressive here than in other Moroccan cities.

You must have very comfortable shoes and be ready to do a lot of walking libitina is nothing but a whole bunch of dead ends with a lot of stores hidden it's pretty much a market will you be able to purchase a lot of their original clothing ,leather, trinkets as well as food.
Stay mindful of your surroundings and dress warm if you're going in the time of December January February or March

Culturally interesting experience
May 2019
My daughter and I visited the Medina of Tangier in the Spring. It was a great cultural experience for us. We were able to walk around the area unescorted without any problems. There is a lot to see, smell and taste as you wind your way through the Medina. Just be aware that there are many, many young men who want to be paid to be your guide and if you want a guided tour you should pre arrange to avoid any issues.

Ali gave us an excellent tour of the old part of the city. Lunch was excellent. We walked much of the alleys of the old town. A lot of unique shops to look for special remembrances of the city.
