Closed streets, teaming with people, packed with a diverse mix of things to eat and things to buy. If you ever get to Tangier you need to go here.

No trip to Tangier is complete without a visit to the Casbah. Beautiful white homes, shops, and a museum. The view is also spectacular. A must see!

My wife and I were in Tangier for two days along with our stays in Lisbon and Barcelona. Absolutely love Tangier. We stayed in the Kasbah at the La Tangerina, a gem of a hotel. We strolled thru the markets and enjoyed the architecture. Yes,...More

Good for a quick stroll through, really not much to see. Some of the other cities in Morocco have a much nicer Kasbah.

The place is magical. Narrow alleys with nice small buildings, many of them turned into boutique hotels. However, the crooks that want your money simply don't let you alone. They tell you are going to the wrong direction so that they can start following you...More

The Kasbah is located in the higher uphill section of the Medina and is where the main shopping is offered. We felt safe and comfortable not pressured at all to purchase any of the many beautiful items sold there.

Sorry but we rarely engage guides. There are however local guides at the Kasbah who will invite you to engage them and you can negotiate a price.

Hello, I don't do shopping in Tangier's Kasbah or the Medina, the bargaining process is tedious and time-consuming and merchants tend to be reluctant to drop their initial asking prices. I can recommend two other places... More
