I like to cook and I liked this class. It’s a comprehensive Moroccan cooking experience with the added benefit of a great meal at the end. Tlaytmass was a great guide, not only in the kitchen but through the Medina and the mysteries of Morocco. Time and money well spent. Thank you Blue Door Cuisine.

We immediately felt welcome when we stepped through the Blue Door! Fatima and the entire staff provided clear and helpful instructions to us novices. What I liked the most was hearing about what their moms taught them about cooking while they were growing up, and how they incorporate those lessons into their dishes today. The class was great fun and I definitely believe I can make the dishes on my own at home now that I tried it with the experts!

Blue Door provided a very informative and fun cooking experience! This includes not only cooking the meal, but also learning about and making Moroccan tea and a guided trip down the street to the spice market. Everyone we met there fulfilled their roles expertly and were a joy to be around. Fatima led the cooking experience with assistance from Selma, while Remon took professional pictures to document the time. We also met the owner, Tim, who was very interested in personally spending some time with the class and providing answers to any questions we had about the area, including recommendations. Very good group of people with an extremely high quality product that provides a very rounded view of Moroccan cuisine!

I wrote a long review then the site malfunctioned, so I’ll be brief. This is well worth your time and money during your trip to Tangier. They make the experience very approachable for tourists while at the same time being very authentic. The facility is well located near the markets and very clean. The food we prepared was super tasty and the experience making the bread (including the rip to the community oven), the tea, and of course the delicious tagine was outstanding!
