We travelled from Casablanca with the kids to Rabat to visit the Zoo. It was great. The price is more than good and there are a lott of animals. At 12.00 you can feed the giraffe for an other additional 15dh. Do not forget to buy this ticket at the entranca. Cost for 2 adults and 2 children 150dh

Really nice zoo. Animals (mostly) kept in good conditions with lots of space. 50 dhiram entry good value. Food about double normal local price but still cheap by European/US standards. 20 dhiram ($2) for a pit of mint tea in the cafe. I spent several hours here just chilling out and enjoying the animals. Two caveats though. The serval cats are in an enclosure that is way too small for them. I am pretty sure the zoo is aware of this - needs to be sorted out asap. Then there is the issue of getting a taxi from the zoo back to Rabat. I ended up crossing a really busy road and then getting a completely random bus (4 dhiram / 40 cents) which luckily took me into central Rabat.

This zoo was very interesting to visit. In Canada, many zoos confine animals into tiny spaces, but in this zoo, it seemed as if the animals were treated better and also were given ALOT more space to roam.

Me & my family really enjoyed our trip this zoo. The entry fee is only 50dh each with discounts for family tickets. If you want to feed the giraffes there are set times and an extra charge for this. The zoo itself is very well maintained and the animal enclosures well thought out and try and imitate the natural habitat of the animals. There is plenty to see and you will need a min 3 hours just to walk around. Please note they close at 4.30pm during the winter months. There are plenty of little snack shops for picking up drinks, sandwiches and ice cream and pricing is reasonable. There are also restaurants at the entrance and a large cafe in centre. The animals look in great health and the way the enclosures are set up you do get up close to lost of them. Great day out for all our family.

Absolutely make time to visit here if you’re in Rabat. It's quite far out of the city centre but you can easily get a bus or a taxi. The entry price is very cheap for tourists (only 50dhs) and it's definitely one of the best zoos I have ever been to. There are lots of animals which all look well-cared for and you can get quite close to some of them which is incredible. The enclosures are very natural and spacious and sometimes look as though you're watching the animals in the wild. We visited on a Saturday and it was surprisingly very quiet so we took our time and eventually spent around three hours here. There is a play area for children and a vivarium, but keep in mind that there is a separate entrance fee for the latter. We had a lovely day here and would definitely return if we were in the area.
