An outstanding visit! Get ready to take lots of pictures. The courtyard alone is worth the visit, but to get an idea of what the "medersa" or Islamic school was like, go up a floor to the boys' chambers (the last one to your right has a view on to the souk) and then up one more floor to the... This was a really nice tour to round out a trip to Meknes. The quiet atmosphere and amazing architecture really made this great. Its also a very reasonable entry fee and it is a great place to get away from the crowds for a few minutes.

The courtyard is beautiful in its design, symmetry and detail. Many are medersas are but this one has the charm of not being crowded, of letting you visit the tiny 2nd floor students rooms with great photo-ops of the courtyard. Wander around and find the stairs to the rooftop for an added bonus: a great view of the Great Mosque,... More

Very pretty place to visit! It is an old school that is now open to visitors and definitely worth the visit for only 10 dirham!

We were staying in a riad only ten minutes away and tried to visit three times. The guard assured us they would be open at the time he gave us to return. They were closed then. This happened twice and we had to leave sadly without seeing what we were told was a lovely place. We do understand that they... More

Really enjoyed all the wonderful ornamentation in the building. Ceramic tiles, stucco carvings, and wood are all worth the visit

Visiting this beautiful place for me was an experience i wanted to make it real , as in general for non mouslims is not allowed to get in the mosques . I must tell that i get surprised and in love a little bit in the way they design the inside and its simple but wonderful style .

It's pretty but poorly up kept as many sites are and if you saw the school in Marrakech it's a smaller version of it. You have to go into the souks to actually find it. The terrace is the best part because you get a great view of the city from there and the mosque.

This site has stood the test of time, and endured a partial attempt at "restoration" extremely well. In the main chamber, you can see a perfect example of Medrisid architecture and design with tile/zellij on the low level, plasterwork/gibs in the middle and carved cedarwork at the top. This medersa is unique in that you can roam all over, including... More
