Desert Agafay and Atlas Mountains & Camel ride Day Trip From Marrakech

1,892 reviews
Morocco’s Agafay desert lies within day-trip distance of Marrakech, making it an easy alternative to visiting the Sahara Desert further south. With this private tour, save the hassle of an independent trip and combine the Agafay with a journey into the Atlas Mountains. Explore Berber villages and souks; cross the Kik Plateau, and finish with a camel trek in the Agafay before returning.

Firstly our safe was broken so we had to take our valuables out with us everyday as the riad ‘takes not responsibility for items not in the safe’. We were not given a green door hanger which is to show you would like a room refresh. We couldn’t find anyone around which meant our room was not refreshed for 5 days including having to use the same towel for 5 days which hardly had time to dry. Food here is very overpriced, I’d recommend one of the larger restaurants around the Médina they are very well priced and the quality is the same. The ‘pool’ was lukewarm at most and only just came up to my knees I don’t know if this is common in this area but it was not what we expected. Finally there was a needle in our duvet!!! We notified a man of this on our last day who didn’t seem so understand and was not concerned when we showed him, we tried to pull it out but it was properly stuck in the sheet. Huge hazard!! Not sharp enough to properly injure someone but it hurt when I found it!

Amazing and comfortable massage. With a very symphonic and chill pool, with comfy beds. Massage was correct and breathtaking. The next day, body was not tense or soar.

After an unfortunate experience with a different riad we booked this place very last minute and what a contrast. The staff here are extremely friendly and very knowledgeable. The room rates are reasonable but food and drink is a tad too expensive in my opinion. The place in general is well kept and the basement spa pool is very relaxing and it does look like the pictures shown. All in all a very nice experience.

I have been to marrakesh more than 10 times and visited alot of hotels and Riads 3star, 4 star and 5 also. This one is 5 star riad hotel and the service was not even for 2 star hotel. The welcoming was so bad. The lady told my cousin that they need their marriage certificate before they enter the room or they r not welcome to the hotel. I got so mad because never informed us and also it dosnt mention on website or hotels.com, no welcome drinks like other 5 and 4 star hotel NOTHiNG. They let us wait and wait for more than 30mins, until we tried to get the marriage certificate. Room style was amazing loved it alooot however there was no water to drink. I asked them we need water water in the room and they got shocked and said howcome there is no water in the room? There should be water in the room. I told him well its ur hotel u should know why there is no water in the rooms. Also i found 2 spiders one in the bathroom and the other one in the room. We didnt even enjoy the facilities like the pool. It was empty for 3 days and whenever we ask them they say construction and tomw we will fill it up. Day before our check out we asked them if the pool is full now and they said by tomw will be full so u can come and swim. We came the next day and saw the pool empty. Overall this hotel dont deserve 5 stars it should be 3 or less. However the only 2 things i loved in it was the breakfast and the room style thats IT.
