Let's start off by saying that Mohammed is amazing and if you are contemplating a tour in Morocco, I HIGHLY recommend going with him. My friend and I were interested in going on a Sahara Desert tour but were slightly hesitant because we're 2 females and weren't familiar with Morocco's tour scene. Mohammed came recommended by another friend, and we decided to book our Sahara Desert tour with him. BEST DECISION EVER. We went on a 3 day, 2 night tour to the Sahara desert leaving from Marrakech. The entire tour was extremely organized, thoughtfully planned, and let us experience the real Morocco! Mohammed and our driver were professional, courteous, funny, and extremely knowledgeable. Fun fact, Mohammed also has great playlists that serve well on long car rides - definitely ask him to play some tunes. We had the most amazing time with Mohammed and would highly highly recommend booking a tour with him. Thank you Mohammed for the best time ever!

I reached out to Mohamed based on the recommendation from a friend when trying to plan a private desert trip/tour for our honeymoon. Due to my short notice, Mohamed wasn't available but set us up with his colleague, Abdo, to take us on a 4 day trip from Marrakesh to Fes, and immediately sent us an itinerary based on our path and number of days so we didn't even have to lift a finger. Abdo was absolutely amazing! He was experienced, personable, had a great sense of humor, and willingly answered all of my husband's never ending list of questions, and took great photos for us the entire time. We left Morocco with so much knowledge on its history and culture thanks to our guide! My husband and I are not a huge fan of "guided trips" as we really like doing our own thing, but having Abdo take us around Morocco was ESSENTIAL and I don't think we could have seen/appreciated all the beautiful sights if we were on our own. There were many stops that we wouldn't have ever thought would be of interest to us. To counter that, he gave us the option to say no - if there was anything that we didn't feel like doing, he was receptive and we would keep moving. I will say that some of the food stops for your lunches or dinners are a bit touristy and just kinda meh, but at least they are taking you to places that they know won't make you sick. But don't get me wrong, some of them were fabulous and authentic! Just part of it. I had seen a lot of people choosing tours that start and end in the same location (i.e. Marrakesh to desert and back to Marrakesh) but I am SO GLAD we had the option to customize the tour to start and end wherever we wanted. Seriously, the flexibility to customize pretty much any part of the tour is a HUGE plus. We got to see so many different parts of the country that we never knew Morocco even had to offer. From flatlands, to the desert, to the mountains, to the coast (we continued to Tangier after our tour ended). I would definitely recommend doing it this way to maximize viewing potential! If you're contemplating between doing a bus tour with 56 other people or just spending the extra money to go on a private tour, please please please choose the private tour. We saw so many tour buses and it looked absolutely miserable. Think about how long it takes to make a bathroom stop....or to eat lunch....or to shop for souvenirs... and you have to stop at every place whether you want to or not.... literal death. I promise you, this was so worth it! You will not regret it!

This was one of the best trips we have taken! Mohammed was an incredible guide. Prior to arriving, we told him what we wanted to see in Morocco and he made the perfect itinerary for us. He made all the arrangements. We just had to show up! He personally met us at the Casablanca airport with one of his drivers, Mohamed. Both were extremely professional, courteous and friendly. Our luggage never made it to Morocco. Mohamed called the airport multiple times to somehow get our lost luggage to us. From that moment, we started our road trip around Morocco. The vehicle was a clean, well maintained, new Toyota SUV. We headed to Fez. . We stayed in a beautiful riad that was built in the 17th century. We toured the city of Fez. From Fez, we traveled to the Merzouga desert. On the way there, we drove out of our way so we could get our luggage from an airport in the middle of nowhere. We stopped at a few places on the way to the desert: ancient forest where many Barbary macaque monkeys live. We were lucky to see so many, we arrived to the desert before sunset before we started our camel trek across the desert to our camp. This experience was surreal! The desert is very peaceful and beautiful. Our camel guide Abraheme was great, He took so many pictures of us on this once in a lifetime experience. The tent was very luxurious and comfortable. Dinner was served in the main tent. All of the staff were very nice and accommodating. I am a vegetarian . I informed Mohamed of that before the trip. He let them know at the camp. They had a delicious vegetarian meal waiting for me. From the desert, we headed to Ouarzazate. We felt as though we were back in time. There is much history in this area. From there, we headed to Essaouira which is a beautiful coastal town. We crossed the high Atlas Mountains on the way there which was a very scenic route. The riad in Essaouira was beautiful. Mohamed recommended a restaurant for dinner which was excellent. From there, we headed to Marrakesh. Our riad there was also beautiful. Mohamed showed us around Marrakesh. Again, he recommended a great restaurant. We enjoyed our time in this city. All the staff at every riad and restaurant that we went to throughout Morocco were very friendly and accommodating. Mohamed made everything very easy whenever we arrived somewhere. He always went out of his way to make sure that everything was perfect. All the accommodations were fantastic. The food was very good in Morocco. Very fresh. Literally, from farm to table. We felt safe the entire trip. We learned so much about the culture and history of Morocco from Mohamed. We were able to see so much of Morocco by doing this tour. I highly recommend this tour when visiting Morocco!

My Fiancé and I are currently living in Spain and wanted to take a trip for a quick get away. I heard about Desert Escapades through a friend that had previously been on a trip to Morocco who had a great time! I’m not sure what I was expecting but it was nothing compared to this trip Mohamed took us on. Morocco was the most beautiful place I have ever seen and the people that live there are just as amazing. We did not have one bad experience while on this trip. Mohamed took us all around the Mountains, city of Marrakech, and the Sahara Desert. Everywhere we went was breathtaking! Mohamed would stop frequently to take pictures for us which was so sweet. Every hotel/Riad/Sahara tent we stayed in was clean and beautiful. We are both big food people and food is one of my favorite parts of traveling. Anything we wanted to try, Mohamed would take us to a local spot with exactly what we wanted and it did not disappoint. He also always got us better prices which was a plus! The dinner and breakfast was always included and everything was amazing. I can’t say enough good things about this company. We can’t wait to com back for longer than 4 days! Thank you thank you thank you for a trip of a lifetime!!

Mohamed is an extraordinary guide. If you want to truly enjoy yourself while learning about the culture of Morocco, Mohamed is for you. He picked us up at the airport, with an excellent driver, and away we went on a trip of a lifetime. We drove a lot of miles based on our choices- as we didn't want to miss anything. Not only did he help us tailor our trip to our needs, he made suggestions that caused us to change our schedule in a way that really enhanced our trip. If you hire a travel agent in your country, they will contract you out to the guide of their choosing. Why not choose your own guide and make sure you get the person that you want, and that has a review? Mohamed is truly gifted as a guide and his insights and descriptions put everything in a new way of understanding differences in culture. We learned so much from Mohamed who comes from a small village. He is well liked by all the guides and stays in contact with them in case they need to know something. While we were on the road, he learned that the highway that we were going to take was snowed in, and so we avoided getting stuck in a traffic jam. Others were not so lucky and had to stay the night in their cars snowed in! Don't miss the camel trip and sleeping in the desert. Also don't miss Mohamed's tips on everything you need to know that is not in any of the guide books. So much insider information that made the trip so perfect!!! Anyone would be in good hands with Mohamed including women travelers, families with children, groups of friends, teenagers, and couples like us. I cannot recommend his services enough.
