About Morocco Sun Tours - Day Tours
Morocco SUN TOURS was founded in 2010 , following a period of extensive exploration and research. The company is based in Marrakech and is still closely managed by its founder. People often ask what makes us different from the many travel companies organising holidays to Morocco, and much of the difference lies in the fact that we are based in Marrakech and owner-managed. AZIZ has extensive travel industry experience as well as over a decade of Moroccan exploration under his belt, and these two characteristics, together with a passion for creating ideas and itineraries, make him an expert in his field. Over the course of our 8 years of operation, the spirit and philosophy of (MST) has remained unchanged. Our objective is for our guests to discover the real Morocco. we would urge you to get in touch with us to explain your requirements. We look forward to hearing from you and welcoming you to Morocco.

I was part of a group of 16 travellers from the UK who took on the three highest peaks in the Atlas Mountains in September 2019 - M'Goun, Toubkal and Ouanoukrim. Although we booked through a UK company, Morocco Sun Tours was responsible for organising the trip on the ground, and we had an absolutely amazing experience from start to finish. First of all, as this was a hiking trip, I have to commend our wonderful guides Aziz, Hasan and Nourdine for taking care of us so well in the mountains. They were clearly extremely knowledgeable and experienced in helping visitors to deal with the terrain, the routes, the altitude and the climate and we all felt very comfortable and safe throughout our 8 day trek. They were excellent at dealing with the fact that we had walkers of different speeds in our group, and they were able to adjust our start times to make sure that our whole group summited Toubkal together. They even managed to arrange some unusually still weather and a beautiful cloud inversion while we were up there - we are still not sure how they managed that. Aside from the hiking, we were incredibly well looked after by our local Berber crews and mule handlers. The food was amazing and far exceeded any of our expectations! Each morning we awoke to hot porridge, freshly made pancakes, cereals and fresh bread, with all kinds of cheese, condiments, juice, tea, coffee... After a day of walking we would reach camp to find our tents all set up for us, and a fresh pot of Moroccan mint tea and biscuits awaiting us. Then it would be time for the most mouth-watering lunch - salads, fish, stews, veg, rice, bread... and after we'd all had a relaxing nap there would be more for dinner, usually amazing stews and tagines, often followed by desert. I am still absolutely amazed that the crew managed to produce all of this in a tiny cooking tent at 2500m+!! One night, they even produced a delicious freshly baked marble cake for two of our gang who were celebrating their wedding anniversary, and on our last night in camp they pulled out all the stops and produced deep fried donuts and chicken and chips! One thing is for sure - you will not go hungry. That aside, all of the guides and crew were just wonderfully kind people. One or two people in our group were ill at the beginning of the trip and they were very well looked after, and as we got to know the guys we started to have fun together in the evenings - we shared our Scottish and Irish songs with them, and they sang and played traditional Berber music for us. On our last night we even ended up dancing together as darkness fell in the shadow of Toubkal. We also learnt a lot about Moroccan and Berber history and culture from the stories shared by our lead guide, Aziz, who is a fantastic and passionate ambassador for his country. Our whole group has had a fabulous experience and made amazing memories on this trip, and I honestly couldn't speak more highly of Morocco Sun Tours.

A group of 16 of us travelled to Morocco in September with 3 peaks Africa who had chosen Morocco Sun Tours to guide us and provide for us. Aziz was our main guide, and along with 2 other guides - Hassan and Nordine, 2 cooks and 2 separate groups of mules and mule handlers, we felt incredibly well looked after! The guides are the coolest men on the planet, laid back, knowledgable and professional. Our tents were always ready for us arriving in camp, the food that was magically cooked every night was absolutely delicious! (We were worried prior to going that we weren’t going to get enough food to fuel all the walking. We were wrong!!) Porridge, cereals and pancakes for breakfast, tagine, pasta, salads and even CHIPS for lunch and dinner! Endless cups of Moroccan tea, donuts! The chefs even managed to bake a cake for our anniversary (almost 3,000 metres up a mountain!!) The guides always made sure everyone was safe and walking at a pace that they could manage. Our safety and comfort was always their priority. This team really made our experience just perfect! I absolutely recommend Morocco Sun Tours! Thank you so much Aziz and gang!

Spent 10 days with this fantastic company and literally can’t find a bad word to say. Extremely knowledgable about the area and about the remote mountains that we were hiking. They encouraged and motivated us continually during the tough ascents and were so skilled in dealing with and minor problems / illnesses that arose. The team made us feel entirely safe and looked after every second of the day. They shared local knowledge with us as well as including us in the evenings spent singing and dancing with the crew and the cooks! Memories made to last a lifetime. They really went out of their way to make myself and my fellow teammates feel comfortable throughout even arranging for delicious meals to be cooked for us while we camped at altitude. They set up the entire camps on our behalf, making sure our kit was transported safely from one destination to another. Can’t recommend this company enough if you’re considering your own Moroccan adventure!

In September I was part of a trek guided by Aziz and his amazing team of guides, mule handlers and chefs. The team were all Berber and Moroccan and were easily some of the most helpful and accommodating guides I’ve ever met. They went above and beyond with information on the Atlas Mountains and Marrakech and genuinely couldn’t have done more for us. They even managed to cook us up some chips at 3000m which felt like a good achievement to me! Even after our tour was over Aziz helped me out with information on Marrakech and also helped buy me a phone after an iPhone malfunction. Brilliant company that I would 100% use again and recommend to anyone.
