2 Days Walking Atlas Mountains from Marrakech

During the Berber Village Exploring you will spend 2 days with the Berber people of the Atlas Mountains. Your journey will start in the beautiful Imnan Valley, with its terraces and small towns set into the hillsides.

The Berber people are a very ancient people that predate the arrival of the Arabs and Islam. Their lifestyles have grown in harmony with their beautiful, but severe environment. Berber food has kept them strong for the mountains: it consists of breads, soups and barley products in the main - and only the Berbers themselves can make it. Many Berbers make their homes from pise, which is a combination of stone and mud, for their families, which tend to be large..

Before you get back to Imlil village to pick you up back again to Marrakech to have more time if you like to explore othere parts of Morocco

Omar was able to help us with a great personalized tourism package in several cities in Morocco. He was always worried to make sure that we were having a great time.

Hassan the driver was friendly and trustworthy. Lissan (not sure how to spell, sorry!) our walking guide was very nice and interesting. Was surprised to be asked to pay in cash by Omar, the owner of the company, on the first day of the trip (the only time we met him). We didn't have enough cash with us as we assumed we would pay when we were in Marrakech and didn't want to carry lots with us, and had not been told to bring cash in advance and there were no ATMs in the mountain village. We were made to feel very uncomfortable about this, and he seemed angry, so we said we could make a bank transfer. We had poor internet in the mountains so it took a while, and he kept messaging us all evening until we had done it. This wasn't pleasant and made us worry that there's was something dodgy about it. However, we didn't hear anything else from him after this, and the rest of our trip was fine.

I reached out to Omar, the owner, via text message. He was very responsive and very flexible. We put together the best itinerary, reviewed with me our accommodations, prices, payment methods etc and he made any change until my family and I were satisfied. I also requested a Spanish speaking guide and Omar found us Karim and he was the MOST attentive, kind and patient guide ever. I cant tell enough good things about him. Even my girls taught him to play UNO. We were a family of 6, including my two little kids and my parents. We had a private van, a driver and the guide during the whole trip. I highly recommend Omar adventures, the owner is an honest and attentive, and Morocco is just a wonderful country. Contact Omar and ask him about itinerary recommendations, trying to book from distance may be intimidating but Omar made it so easy. Thanks Omar and Karim

We spent an amazing 2 weeks with Omar touring Morocco. We were traveling with our 4 kids all in different age groups and Omar and the driver Yusuf went out of their way to make the trip memorable for us and the kids. My kids loved seeing him every morning. Omar is so pleasant and obliging and can provide such great information about the different places we visited that we instantly loved every thing on our trip. He answered every question from planning of the trip and was always willing to help in anyway. I would definitely recommend using Omar Adventures for anyone planning on visiting this beautiful country.
