We loved our snacks and shopping tour, and are so grateful to the team at MFT for accommodating us on a Friday. Our guide, Atman, was incredible, not only for his immense knowledge of the Jmaa eL Fna and surrounding souk but especially for his longstanding relationships that afforded us family style hospitality at each stop. After 10 days in country he expertly navigated us to both flavors we had not tried, and wares we had not yet found. Moreover, we could not have had a more cordial, considerate navigator as two women traveling. Don’t hesitate to book today!

I was looking for an interactive guided tour together with my 10-yr-old and this tour was excellent. Our guide Hanan a former English teacher in primary could not have been a better match for us! We got a chance to go off the beaten track and learn more about the artisanal craftsmanship and we ended the tour with a well deserved meal.

This was truly an amazing experience, one that left a lifetime memory. This tour takes you deep into the Atlas valleys with a stop at Ijoukak valley. We were hosted by Said and his mom who cooked for us an egg casserole and home made bread for breakfast and later a very generous tajine lunch...Said is excellent and always looking after you and answering every question along the way...I recommend this tour to anyone while visiting Marrakesh

After reading rave reviews and having several people recommend this tour to me, I decided to take the plunge after chatting to Amanda on Instagram.

Atman was a very kind and friendly tour guide and accommodated our interests as part of the tour. I was particularly grateful for the INCREDIBLE bisarra cooked for us by Fatima. A fava bean soup typically consumed in the winter in Marrakech, this dish is not commonly available during Ramadan but I am extremely grateful that we had the opportunity to try it. I highly recommend that everyone visiting Marrakech seek this out.

When it came to advice on negotiating and bargaining, Atman was sort of helpful. He tried not to get involved other than asking traders to give us their “best price”, which we later found out was still greatly inflated when we got back to our riad and spoke to the lovely staff there.

The best purchase was definitely a beautiful handmade leather handbag which the artisan very kindly dyed for me whilst we waited. It’s absolutely beautiful and I will treasure it forever.

My biggest disappointment, and the reason for the 3 stars, was our experience in the spice shop. Whilst the gentleman was kind and very polite in answering my questions, we got home to find that our spices have no flavour or smell whatsoever. I then looked at the review of Bloty (the shop in question) and it seems that I am not the only one to have been scammed by the shop. I urge everyone to avoid Bloty and instead ask the staff in your riad to help you find spices because they will go to a shop that they would buy from. Our second spice haul can be smelled 10 feet away and was procured by someone who worked in our riad on our behalf.

All in all, a mixed experience and I would suggest purchasing items with caution.

We recently took an evening food tour led by Suf (sp?). There was some confusion about the start time (plus we got lost on our way to the meetup point), but Suf was patient, friendly, and so welcoming.

We meandered through the souks while learning about the local culture, met some very friendly shopkeepers, saw behind the scenes of some food stalls and a community bakery, and tried dishes that we wouldn’t have found on our own. We ate so much good food. We tried to pace ourselves but were still beyond stuffed by the end of the night.

Suf was funny and had fantastic energy, answered any questions we had, and gave us helpful tips for the rest of our travels through Morocco. The food tour was the first activity we booked in Marrakech and it was the perfect introduction to the hustle and bustle of the city.

This tour was recommended to us by our Marrakech-based wedding planner, and it was an excellent choice. We would happily recommend it to friends, family, and others visiting Marrakech.

This was the highlight of our trip to Marrakech. We travelled two hours south of Marrakesh up into the Ijoukak Valley - a beautiful landscape with no tourists. We were met at a small village by our host - a 34 year old man with 17 years of experience in High Atlas hospitality properties. He walked through the village to his home where his mother baked fresh bread and prepared breakfast and then he took us on a small hike over the stream and into the olive groves, barley fields and goat raising areas. His grandfather built their home and he is one of three families that live in the village. His English was perfect and he shared extensive amounts of information on daily life in the village. He then took us to a larger village for market day (every Wednesday) where we walked through hundreds of stalls selling everything needed for daily life (motorcycle parts, shoes, detergents, donkeys, chickens, walnuts, etc etc). We then returned to his home where his mother had prepared lunch including a Quince and Chicken tagine. One of the best in Morocco! This delightful mother/son team made us feel so at home. They have added a well-appointed private airbnb suite with private bath if you want to spend the night looking at the stars. (We wish we had the time).

So much fun! This tour is an absolute must do in Marrakech and is a unique way to learn about the city and its culture. I can’t say enough good about the owners and the love and hard work they put into all of their tours. I would recommend this for anyone – families, groups of friends, solo travelers, etc. you will find truly local places and eat foods you never would on your own. Marrakech is a delicious surprise! As soon as I get back to Marrakech I’m doing this tour again. ❤️

Our guide was really pleasant, knowledgable, and full of both interesting and practical information. We booked the food tour early in our trip and that definitely paid off because we kept returning to a few of our favorite places throughout the rest of our trip!

The food is all amazing (ofc YMMV, but my husband and I loved it all), + the tour includes some sights you probably would never discover or know what to make of on your own.

Highly recommended!

My husband and I took the market food tour in Marrakesh and had a wonderful experience! Our guide Mohammad was extremely knowledgeable and charismatic, and he answered all our group's questions about Moroccan food and culture. The tour included many different types of delicious foods, and there was a lot for me to eat as a vegetarian. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone who loves food and learning about other cultures. Thank you Mohammad for a great evening!

The couscous meal with Mamma Fatima was so enjoyable. Of course the food was really good but even more special was the opportunity to have a conversation with Fatima and her son. I also really appreciated the information on the culture our guide passed along as we proceeded through the market
