Atlas Mountains and Three Valleys & Waterfalls - Camel ride Day Trip Marrakech

3,806 reviews
Exploring Morocco’s Atlas Mountains without a guide may mean missing out on Berber culture and scenic viewpoints. Yet, many group tours follow rigid itineraries that don’t allow for spontaneity during the day. This private tour delivers on all counts—with a local guide to arrange logistics and enable interaction with Berber villagers, and the flexibility to personalize your itinerary. A local lunch, optional camel ride, and Berber home visit are all included.

You absolutely need to go to the amazing, Aqua Fun Club! The hotels there were so luxurious. You'd probably want to go there 1 million times! It's impeccable.I'm going to tell you, you probably would want to live there! You get extraordinary, hot sun, pools the size of a house! And most of all, the the adventurous, Aqua Fun Club.It is for free to go, but you need to be in Marrakech, or should I say, Africa to do it.It doesn't really matter though. The times are about from 09:00-11:00, and it'll be the best time you've ever had!So much adventures, and much more to come!Slides, making cookies, and even going all around the place of the hotel! You don't want to miss it, so come now!

This was a nice resort, the staff were extremely friendly with the children, especially the animation team and everyone had a smile on their faces. The food was okay. The rooms were disappointing they were very old as they had crooked pictures in the frames, the furnishings were old and very dusty. Once cleaned the rooms were comfortable. The shower was amazing even tho it ended up blocking. When I complained about the room they changed it but the shower was a very old version so we decided to keep the previous room and they took the plug out in an unprofessional manner. I was also disappointed as they told us to meet them in the evening as they were going to surprise my daughter with a birthday cake. This did not happen though! I would come back in the future as it is child friendly and reasonably priced.

We booked this as a last minute getaway as we needed some warm sunshine and that’s what we got. But that’s all we really got! We booked a family room which was adequate but lacking in some vital areas for an all inclusive holiday that wasn’t cheap!! The large room was supposed to overlook the “garden” when actually it overlooked a tiny strip of a flowerbed and a maintenance hut. The balcony was small and had only three chairs and no table. The room was divided by sliding doors and had a small double in one side and a king size in the main part. The room keys often did not work and had to be replaced several times. The beds were firm to the point of almost unbearable. The satellite tv wasn’t worth watching, par for the course as only one channel was in English. The heating/air conditioning was USELESS and you couldn’t figure it out as all the numbers etc on the dial were rubbed off. The shower was large and the hot water took a while to come through. We had to have our shower head replaced as most of the holes were blocked. Reception were VERY prompt and sent someone almost immediately which was fab. Most disappointingly no care or thought had been given as to what a guest would require such as an information booklet in the room containing all the usual relevant information such as meal times and number to call for reception was not given. There was a rubbish mini fridge that wasn’t very cool even after we tried to adjust it and they were supposed to give us water bottles each in the fridge to be replenished every day, well we were NEVER given ANY! The tea and coffee was sparse and absolutely NO MILK supplied!! Two cups only and two water glasses for a FAMILY room. Four hangers only in the wardrobe and no bathrobes etc that were all supposed to be there. The shower was in dire need of plastering around the pipes as there were gaping holes and ABSOLUTELY NO SOAP was given for the sink 😱🤮 there was a shower gel dispenser on the shower wall and the plughole was blocked and water overflowed. Both bins never had a plastic bag in them and the bins were emptied but not cleaned ( I know I watched them). We had to ask for towels constantly as they would take the dirty ones and not replace them. The food was probably the WORST I have ever had and often ran out. It was recycled from one day to the next and was rarely warm. One night was excellent and had tagines of food and beautiful lamb on the bone and talking of bones, they leave them in EVERYTHING so children MUST BE CAREFUL!! Especially the fish. Juice wasn’t real as it was neon and the bread tasted sweet 🤮they are a Muslim country and therefore no sausages or bacon for breakfast 😭. Fresh omelettes were made to order and looked lovely as were the pancakes and crepes. We never once saw a desert spoon 😱 and salt was like gold dust IF you could find it. DO NOT BOTJER with deserts as they were either neon pink blancmange or flavoured cream layered yuk! Afternoon “snacks in most all inclusive hotels would offer you burgers, chicken nuggets and chips etc and salads but you could only have these at EXTRA COST!!😱😱😱 All staff were more than happy to help you in anyway possible and although the entertainment was not for me ( kids stuff mainly apart from yoga) they nonetheless tried hard to include you. The entertainment team were super friendly especially Sana but the other girl ( I think her name was Khoula) was getting the telephone number of a single MUCH OLDER MAN and it seemed really dubious!! One good thing I will say though is the whole place was scrupulously clean and there was a plethora of sun beds ( no need to rush down in the morning and put your towel on one) and tons of FREEZING 🥶 pools and slides etc. ( apparently they NEVER heat them) they do have a couple of small indoor pools which were warm but had limited access and will be shut in the summer! Drinks were NOT alcoholic even though they said they were, but again it is frowned upon here as is any kind of open affection and DON’T even think of going topless!! Their tiny shop was EXTREMELY overpriced, a simple ice cream on a stick like a Magnum was over £3.50!! There was an ATM in the hotel as they won’t exchange money for you and the rates at the ATM were good but be advised to ONLY take out a limited amount of cash as you are NOT allowed to take much Dirhams out of the country! The airport will exchange them though. The hotel lobby had lots of information on trips etc for GERMAN tourists but that’s all. We paid through guest relations for a private taxi and guide for the day to Marrakech market Jamaa el Fna and although it was expensive ( 1000 Dirhams), it was worth every penny as we had a large taxi all to ourselves and a brilliant brilliant guide Ibrahim who was safe, smiley, full of knowledge and so so kind and patient. He let us choose what and where we went and for however long we needed and then the taxi was there to return us. We never once had any hassle from anyone in Jamaa el Fna as others have said. All in all an ok break for the five nights that we were there but outside of the hotel didn’t feel safe and didn’t appear to have anything to do. Security was good and we enjoyed the glorious 28-30 degree weather. I’m afraid that although Aqua Fun Club looked great on paper, it just didn’t deliver on its promises and despite the aqua park being the largest in the area and the gorgeous Atlas Mountains in the distance, I don’t think we will return as there simply wasn’t anything to do and the standards were low. The area looked like a war zone too and poverty was obvious.

I visited The Aqua Fun Club with my 14 year old son for one week in February 2020. From the moment we arrived nothing was too much trouble. The hotel is run like clock-work and the staff are so nice, I can't recommend it enough. The weather in February got up to 28 degrees and was boiling. Some days were cloudy and you had to wrap up a bit, but that's all part of going in February. The pools were cool, but again part of going in February. Once the weather warmed up the pools were better. The waterslides were brilliant fun. Not all open at once, but the hotel wasn't busy enough to warrant that, but they all opened at some point during the day on rotation. There was a good choice of food, my son is quite fussy so enjoyed the 'pizza' option at lunch and dinner and we both loved the free Wifi. Our room was lovely, we were lucky enough to receive an upgrade to a family room on arrival. Our room was clean, as was the whole resort. Really would go back tomorrow if I could :-) Thank you for a great holiday to remember x
