If you are not living by the Palemeraie, don't waist your time. It's mainly a new touristic zone in the middle of palms. Worth the stop of you pass by, especially at sunset where you can get great photos with plams background.

so initially I wanted to camel trek in the sahara desert but after taking into consideration that I will be stuck with a tourguide in the desert alone would not be ideal and probably pretty dangerous, I have given up the thought and decided to do the camel trek in la palmeraie instead. I booked the tour via the hotel... More

It is an exciting experience. They pick you up at the hotel or if you are staying inside of the medina they pick you up close by. Before the ride you have to wear a bedouin dress and turban. If your party is more than one they put the camels in caravan. You visit a bedouin family and the offer... More

We were taken by our tour company to this place for a camel ride. This place just next to a main road with palm trees around did not give me a feel of an oasis which it claims to be. After sometime some camels arrived at the place and those interested were asked to go for the ride for a... More

Worth a visit, stunning views in and around the area. Not necessary to book a tour as when you get there there are many guides offering cheap camel rides and quad bike trips, probably cheaper than the tour companies. We visited the area just to look around but didn't go on a camel or quad (did this in Dubai and... More

We rented a caleche for 2 hours from the medina area to take us through La Palmeraie, to some of the galleries in Gueliz and then to Jardin Majorelle - all for $30 US. The caleche ride through La Palermaie was a wonderful way to start the morning. We saw shepherds, peaks of some beautiful villas, the King's mother's palace... More

It's a beautiful area, lots of Palm trees and camels. You can go camel rides and ride quad bikes here too. Lots of lovely hotels/resorts there that you can pay to use the pool (the best one is the Maurano - it's cheap too). The King of Morocco's mother also apparently lives there and some celebs like to stay in... More

We saw lots of posters around to book camel rides and also it was possible to book via our Riad. However as my friend had visited Marrakech twice before we just jumped in a taxi asking to go to the palmeraie for a camel ride. We agreed 100 Dirham one way. On the drive of about 20 mins our friendly... More

we went on a camel ride at sunset, all those movies you see with sun dunes and sun sets with a camel or two in the distance was what we experienced totally recommend

We stayed at the El Dorador. It is about 20-30 mins in a coach from the centre of Marrakech. We liked it because it was far from the hussle and bussel. It depends what you are looking for from your stay. Nothing to do in this area really other then what the hotels offer.
