Fantastic service both before arrival and during the trek!!!! Hassan was fantastic during the booking process and very good at answering questions via email. On arrival we were met by our Guide Elhoussain, from the start he formed a great rapport with the 4 of us and was more than happy to tailor the trip to us. He and his team of cooks offered some of the best services I have received in the mountains and I would not hesitate to recommend booking with Hassan....

I highly recommend a 6 day, 5 night hike around the Imlil Valley and up Mount Toubkal. I first contacted Hassan who helped me to join a Canadian couple to form a small group of three as I was travelling solo. We joined our guide, Houssain and his younger brother Youssef in an incredible adventure hiking up and down mountains and valleys. I felt completely safe and in good company the entire trip. Houssain was both a knowledgeable leader and an excellent chef, answering our many questions about the culture and the landscape all while whipping up a tagine. He was able to adapt his cooking style to accomodate gluten free (me) and vegetarian (the Canadians). I brought my own oats for breakfast and had plenty of food for every meal such as vegetable tagines, tagine eggs, soup, popcorn, fruit plates..etc

It ended up snowing on Toubkal while we were at the refuge (we climbed in early Oct), Houssain leant me some gloves and provided assistance in slippery spots. He was so valuable in helping me reach the top safely.

I would recommend this experience to people looking for a taste of the culture, a good view of the landscape and an active holiday. We walked for 5-6 hours each day, and it does require you be to be relatively fit so do some practice hikes or walking beforehand.

I can't find words to describe how amazing our 6 days trek through the Atlas was. I would do it again in a heartbeat. Lhousain guided our party of 3, while his brother Youssef was in charge of the mule which carried our luggage and supplies. The amount of knowledge Lhousain has about his home mountain and berber culture, and how generously he shared it with us was a real gift. Everywhere he brought us, he had little stories about the places, the people. He patiently taught us some berber along the way (Tenemirt!) as well.

The locations were we slept were comfortable, with either a mattress on the ground, a proper bed, or a bunk bed. Lhousain has wonderful cooking skills, and he makes a mean veggie tajine: I haven't found one better than his yet! His egg tajine is also very tasty. All in all, the food and the tea were plenty and always delicious!

At the Toubkal base camp, we did see multiple other guides from other companies. Although none of the guides seemed bad (they need to do a 3 month training to become a guide after all), our Lhousain and Youssef team was clearly above average. I would recommend them 100%, they are kind, generous, attentive, funny. By the end of the trip, it felt more like we were hanging out with caring good friends than that we were dealing with people we hired.

I hope I get to come back and do it all over again! Inchallah!

My partner and I spent 6 days trekking around the Atlas mountains with our fantastic guide & cook Elhoussain. Starting in Imi Oughlad heading through the Azzaden valley to visit the fruit farms and Berber villages then ascending Jebel Toubkal. Along the way we were met with rich culture, great food and wonderful hospitality in the local guesthouses.

Elhoussain's local knowledge, mountaineering experience, culinary skills, and incredible fitness made us feel welcome and safe throughout the entire trip. He is a top class mountain guide of proud Berber heritage and with the help of Youssef and their sturdy mule our team made the trip all the more enjoyable. The rapport and friendship we developed over those 6 days will not be forgotten.

From start to finish, communication with Hassan and the team was clear and responsive. Everything from the drivers, guesthouses, food and the route itself was excellently organised. Don't hesitate to get in touch with Hassan for your next visit to Morocco, we can't wait to visit again!

We (female & male couple) had an outstanding experience on our 6 day trek through Toubkal National Park including multiple Beber villages. Our guide Elhossain took us to the most beautiful places off the beaten track. The team ensured that everyday we were fully cooked and cared for while seemingly effortless being guided through paths along cherrytrees, rivers and goat farms. Any personal preferences were incorporated and changed to ensure a personalised and tailored experience. I personally loved that we had the option of the private trek with just my partner, the guide & fantastic cook Elhossain, a mule and muleteer Youssef and myself.
I can highly recommend, my expectations were by far exceeded.

Update: Hassan wrote me persistently asking to delete my review in a very unprofessional and unpleasant way, really leaving a bad taste in my mouth. I would think twice about going with this company after this experience...

We did the 6-day Toubkal circuit - the landscapes and food were amazing, and we felt the trek was well organized/planned with flexibility for options to change plans. The muleteers Abdul and Mustapha were a joy to be around and always in a great mood, preparing delicious meals for us and checking how we were doing.
The hiking itself was not difficult (we are 2 active 30 year old females) and actually found that the pace was quite relaxed. There were times where we felt we could have gone at a faster pace.

Our guide Hassan was knowledgeable of the different trails but we felt that he was quite checked out/uninterested the whole time. His communication was quite poor- he didn’t inform us on where to go to the bathroom along the trail or at campsites, didn’t share relevant trail etiquette there, etc. We would have appreciated more initiative from him to share cultural facts, relevant details about the flora and fauna, and just in general share more information with us. We expressed this early on in the trip as well but not much changed… If it weren’t for us asking lots of questions, I think he would have silently guided us the whole way. Further, when we did ask questions it felt like he was reluctant to respond.

The overall experience was good and we felt safe, but in general we had higher expectations for a guide and were hoping to learn more seeing as we paid a premium for a guiding service.

In May 2022, I was lucky enough to go on an incredible 10-day trip - trekking in the High Atlas Mountains with Elhossain for 6 days, and driving through the Sahara desert with Mohamed for 4 days. It was, genuinely, the trip of a lifetime - both Elhossain and Mohamed were fantastic guides, and my chef Abdul cooked some of the best food I have ever eaten!

I would 1000% recommend these guys to anyone interested in having an authentic travel experience in Morocco. I cannot wait to return to Morocco again, and I will definitely be contacting Hassan and his team to organise another trip soon.

We had an amazing 6 days trek in the high atlas. The team included a the guide Lhousain and the great cook Abdul. they both make our trek amazing.
The trek started in Azzadene valley for 2 days and another 2 days to the Toubkal summit and the last 2 days in Imnane valley.
I highly recommend Lhousain and Abdul to make an incredible adventure hiking up and down mountains and valleys.

Entire program was well organized and even better executed, which led to successful and pleasant acsend of the whole group (including the transport from and to our hotel, arming with missing gear, sufficient and nutritious food).

Our guide Elhoussain is friendly and supportive with nice sence of humour. He was constantly taking care of our comfort and safety. In terms of professionalism he was born and raised in the Atlas mountains, so he has perfect knowage of the region and local Berber habits. Moreover, the mountaineering skills he possesses were only overshadowed by his tea pouring technique ; ))

Great trek to the summit of the Toubkal mountain. Our guide, Lhossain was awesome, nice, funny and with great English. Walking in snow to the top was a unique experience and was made professionally thanks to Lhossain.
