Marrakech and Fes are the major cities everyone visiting Morocco can’t miss. Combining the Sahara desert with Fes and Marrakech will make your Morocco desert tour as rich as it can be. For that reason, and with increasing inquiries, we decided to suggest a Marrakech to Fes desert trip for you to take advantage of and combine the Sahara desert with the two amazing cities of Marrakech and Fes.

Tour highlights

– Cross the High Atlas Mountains driving past one Berber village after another

– Visit Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou considered a world heritage site by the UNESCO

– Visit Ouarzazate and its Kasbah Ait Ben-Haddou

– Drive along the Valley of the roses & the road of 1001 Kasbahs

– Walk in Todra oasis to Todra Gorges & visit a Berber village

– Ride a camel in Erg Chebbi

– Spend the night under the stars at your Sahara desert camp

– Drive along Ziz Valley and cross the Middle Atlas Mountains with its cedar forests to Fes

A small museum and art gallery tucked away in the middle of nowhere. Only 40 dirham entrance fee, ideal place to take a picnic lunch and enjoy some quiet time in the art galleries, cactus garden, rose garden and pond area. Many frogs hopping about, to the delight of the local kids on a school trip, as were the tortoises roaming around near the entrance quadrangle. Well worth a visit if you like cacti and gardens, the art galleries weren't my kind of thing but overall a lovely way to spend a morning or afternoon. It is not well sign posted from the oad if you are walking there but its cheap enough by taxi in Morocco.

Bring your lunch, spend the morning, eat lunch and view the exhibit again. Really, such a wonderful hidden place. If not driving yourself, make sure taxi is scheduled. A bit secluded and off the main tourist path. But well worth the effort

This hidden garden was created with passion, with beautiful plants and very cool art by local artists! It is a great opportunity to visit a place not too touristy and crowded! Afterwards walk around in that part of the city! People were very friendly on the streets, nobody wanted to sell us stuff and you get an impression of how local life looks like!

This is a small museum containing a private collection of modern art - about 100 works dating back through the past century. It is interesting. The gardens at the back of the museum are really lovely, especially the fascinating "jardin sec". Well worth the visit. A taxi from Marrakech centre will cost about 100 dh each way and it is wise to have the driver to wait for you because it will not be easy to pick up a taxi here.
