Couldn't recommend Abdul enough. He was very kind and respectful with what we were looking to accomplish on our first-time trip to Morocco. My colleague had recommended him after a friend of his had recommended him; this combined with the raving reviews solidified my feelings about booking a tour (or 3!) with Abdul.

Not only did he provide us with ample history and cultural knowledge, but everything about each of the tours we did with him (Marrakech Full Day, Essaouria, and High Atlas) felt seamless and not rushed. He would ask us what interested us and provided us with tips on nearby restaurants, where to purchase local products at a reasonable price, and even provided us with time on our own to explore and relax as we pleased. He was very professional and very witty which definitely made the tours a lot more fun and light.

Our very first tour was on our first full day in Marrakech. Because my friend and I were two females traveling by ourselves in Morocco for the first time we definitely had our reservations, but Abdul quickly diminished any hesitations we had and allowed us to fully experience the city with ease. One of the first things he showed us was how to navigate the streets, different neighborhoods, and sometimes confusing addresses with total confidence, and even as we wandered further away from our riad through the maze-like alleyways, he'd continue to use monuments to ensure that if we ever got lost, we'd always be able to find our way back home.

I've been recommending Abdul to all of my friends who've planned their trips to Marrakech and have continued to hear great things from my close friends who have booked through him as well. For anyone traveling to Marrakech for the first time or for anyone just looking to learn more about the history and any off the beaten path areas, I would highly recommend booking at least once tour with Abdul.

Abdul picked us up from our Riad on the morning we booked our tour and spent the day taking us around Marrakesh. The tour was the PERFECT blend of experiencing the culture of Marrakesh as well as its history. He took us to the main sights of Marrakech and also the hidden sights that go on behind the seens of this magnificent town. Later in the afternoon he also took us to shop in the souks. He knew exactly where to go and where to find top quality goods. Even better, he helped us haggle so we could purchase our goods at the at the appropriate price. Everywhere we went with him we seemed to get hassled less by the store owners than we did the previous day when we walked around ourselves. He seemed to know half the people in Marrakesh and woukd always be greeted by other people on the street! Always a sign of a good guide. Later that day we returned to one of the clothing souks we shopped at to look for some local pants. At first the man offered the pants to us for 550 Dirhams! (This is very expensive). We name dropped Abdul to the shopowner and then he dropped the price to 100 Dirhams! As our last stop he brought us to a restaursnt to try some local Tanjia and lamb's head (which was delicious), and at the end of this he even gifted the pot from the restaurant in which the Tanjia was cooked in! Abdul was an extremely friendly and informative guide and je would answer any questions we had for him. I highly recommend a guide for your first time in Marrakesh, and I couldnt recommend Abdul enough for his amazing service!

Abdul was a fantastic guide. He led us around Marrakesh for three hours, stopping from time to time to explain interesting stories about the area. He very quickly put everyone at ease, he is a calm and friendly guide, with a good sense of humour.

As we walked around he was happy to answer any questions we had. He was very flexible on the tour, adapting it to our preferences. Since we had only just arrived in Marrakesh after a long mornings journey, we asked if we could stop for a snack, he found us a stall and arranged for drinks and food. Later my daughter asked about prices in the souk for handbags, again he was happy to help us get a good price from a stall.

If you are a first time visitor to Marrakesh, I’d recommend Abdul. You will see areas that you would otherwise miss. It really helped us get our bearings in the medina.

I can’t say enough great things about our tour with Abdul. He made our stay in Marrakech amazing and gave us such an awesome tour of his beautiful city. We did the “hidden sides” and “souk” as well as historic areas and beautiful architecture. His tour made us appreciate Marrakech in a whole different way. He customized our tour to our interests, helped us buy the treasures that we had in mind and even took us rug shopping.

Abdul is an extremely knowledgeable, polite and kind person. We loved our time with him. He’s an amazing photographer and knew all of the great spots. His English was great! Abdul was very open about talking about his culture and had a great way of explaining things about his city.

We had 2 full days with him and were sad when it came to say goodbye. We will certainly be back to Marrakech!

We shared two wonderful days with Abdul earlier this week and could not praise him enough.

We were collected from our Riad and treated with kindness and courtesy. The hidden sights / food / gardens tour was very interesting, we felt that we were immersed in the culture of Marrakesh, particularly with Abdul’s insights into Moroccan culture. This, knowledge is shared without you feeling that you are being lectured to, as so often happens on a tour, and when the information is combined with Abdul’s sense of humour this ensures that you have a great and unique tour.

Unfortunately, my husband was struggling with the heat and was ill while we were doing our walking tour, but Abdul looked after him and kindly escorted us back to our Riad.

Two days later and with my husband back in good health Abdul escorted us to Essouria, which we loved. We made some very wise purchases under Abdul’s guidance and had a fabulous day, enjoying the history with our cultural tour of this beautiful city. This was coupled with Abdul arranging a light lunch of fresh grilled seafood in a local restaurant, then it was on to the harbour before we returned to the comfortable car Abdul had arranged for our journey.

We would thoroughly recommend Abdul, but book early his diary is very full.

My husband and I were lucky enough to have Abdul show us around Morocco for two days during our trip in November 2021. First and foremost, Abdul is an incredible person and a joy to spend time with. He is a family man, fun, easy going, and truly just wants to ensure you get everything out of your time that you're hoping to. Additionally, he has such a great knowledge on his country and not only is he able to provide the history, but he's able to provide incredible perspective as someone who has spent his entire life growing up in Marrakech. We spent one day with him in Marrakech and another day with him in the Atlas Mountains, and both were incredibly memorable and special days. In Marrakech, he took us to some incredibly authentic eateries with amazing food, took us around the souks and showed us the best places to buy things (and we got some great deals too), walked us around the various neighborhoods and told us what it's like to live as a local, we saw gardens and palaces - it was amazing how much we were able to see in one day. The second day we spent with him was in the Atlas Mountains, where we took a nice long walk through the various villages, stopped at a local hotel for some tea and views, and ultimately ended by having lunch at a local family's house which was also incredible and SO memorable. Abdul really believes in responsible tourism, so he's sure to visit the places that truly give back to the locals and he even stopped and bought ~20 notebooks to hand out to the Berber children as we came across them on our walk. He shared stories about some of the projects he's done for the local Berber community, like installing public trash cans and helping bring additional machines to the community to help make rugs, which is crucial to their livelihood.

We have stayed in touch with Abdul a bit since our trip and would certainly consider him a friend. I would recommend him wholeheartedly and without hesitation to anyone who is interested in seeing Morocco from a local's perspective.

It was our first visit to Marrakesh and my husband and I wanted to understand the city and people, and we could not have asked for a better, more professional and respectful guide than Abdul. His passion for the city, its history, its culture and its people is amazing.
We have only been here a couple of days and Abdul collected us from our hotel and took us to see the Koutouia Mosque, the Secret Garden and the Museum of Confluences, along with a visit to a local bakery and a fabulous tiny place for lunch which serves just a couple of street food dishes. We also visited a beautiful riad which is now a cafe and art gallery. Abdul explained how the city is laid out and showed us some of the different areas. Finally he took us through the souks allowing us time to wander and look around at the amazing sights and smells, ending up in Jemaa El Fna Square, which is incredible.
Nothing was rushed and we now feel more confident going out into the city by ourselves for the rest of our week long stay.
We would recommend Abdul to anyone who is travelling to Marrakesh. Thank you.

We had a quick tour of the souks with Abdul. Communication was excellent leading up to the tour. He told us the history of the markets and the neighborhoods as we made our way. He made sure we didn't pay too much when we stopped to purchase things, and then took us to a great restaurant in the souk. Would definitely recommend!

We had an absolutely brilliant private tour with Abdul around Marrakesh. He was great at engaging our 4year old and really enabled us to experience the sights and sounds in a way that suited our family. He tailed the tour to us and we would have never had such a good experience in the souks without him. It really felt like we got off of the tourist route at times and loved seeing the different parts of the souks. He was very knowledgeable and passionate about showing us around his home city. A massive highlight for us was our slow cooked lamb lunch and the bakery. Thankyou so much!

I cannot recommend Abdul of Marrakech guided tours. We had so much fun and had a really off the beaten track look into everyday life of people living in the medina. Abdul grew up in the area so he knows it really well & has loads of connections able to get you fantastic quality pieces to take home or baked goods (which I recommend you try). Give his YouTube channel a watch as that shows a bit more of what you’ll be adventuring into. It really was amazing & was by far the best day of our holiday. Abdul thank you so much for showing us just how beautiful Marrakech is & for letting us meet so many amazing people. What a brilliant tour. 5*, hands down the best tour guide.
